Chương 38: Chaos in the city Part - 4

"Wow! Leon, how much power did you use in that attack?" Erik asked in surprise, witnessing Leon's potent attack.

Leon let out a small laugh. "I used a bit of just to welcome him.

That was to welcome him? Erik couldn't have been more surprised.

A powerful attack to welcome him? So, what would it be like if he used his full power?

Erik couldn't help but imagine Leon using all his power; how much damage could he cause?

"Well, now what do we do? Do we attack or wait for it to come to us?" Erik asked. It was the first time he had done something like this, and he had no idea what to do: attack or not attack.

He had no idea what he was supposed to do.

"Let's wait for it to arrive..."

"DAMN LEON!"

Leon couldn't finish answering when the loud hate-filled scream was heard from Alexander, who had half of his face burned and his eyes bloodshot.

It looks like Leon's "Welcome" attack hurt him pretty badly.

A big smile began to form on Leon's lips as he looked at the state Alexander was in after receiving his little attack.

Alexander's face distorted in pure rage. He would likely have some limbs left if he hadn't protected himself.

"Damn it!" Alexander let out a curse, and his expression crumpled even more. This attack caused a lot of damage to the guild members inside the building.

He could sense that several had died because they were unprepared for this attack.

Taking a deep breath, Alexander shouted in fury. "Everyone listen up, come out and finish those bastards; whoever doesn't will die at my hands!"

Erik, Leon, Violet, Adrian, and Irine began to hear footsteps, getting louder and closer. Slowly, they could make out fully armed hunters running towards them with determination in their eyes.

Leon cracked his knuckles, preparing for the impending battle. The others were also on guard, ready for the confrontation that was about to begin.

Erik is fully prepared. He decided not to use his End Energy, as he thought doing so might complicate things.

"HAAAAAAA!"

"Well, time to have some fun," Leon said, dodging an attack.

The fight started after some Luminis guild members attacked.

Ba-gahk!

"Aha!"

"Kugh!"

"Huek!"

The hunters had charged towards Leon to give him at least a scratch, but he had flown off lifelessly in one hit. This development startled everyone. The next instant, Leon disappeared from where he was.

"Aaaah!!!"

"Shit, run.... Aaahhh!"

Screams began to echo throughout the place as blood began to paint the air and the ground. Leon was wreaking havoc with all these hunters, with an amused grin, killing hunters like ants.

"Looks like our leader is having fun."

"Well, that's to be expected; not every day there are fights like this."

"So we started too!"

Adrian and Irine ran towards the bewildered hunters. Watching as they all died at the hands of Leon, who hadn't shed a drop of sweat after killing over ten or more hunters just by using his fists and physical strength.

"Huh? What's that..."

"It looks like drops..."

"And why are there drops... but it doesn't look like rain?"

The hunters of the Luminis guild were very confused when it started. In the middle of the battle, drops of water began to appear, but they were not falling. They began to feel wrong about this, but before they could do anything...

"Aha!"

"Kugh!"

"Huek!"

"Shit, why do we have to...!"

Screams of pain began to resound in the air again. The water droplets began to attack at a speed three times faster than a bullet, creating small explosions and piercing the heads of all the hunters.

Leon nearly broke one hunter's neck. When he felt the familiar energy, he saw that Adrian and Irine had also started attacking the Luminis guild members.

So they're having fun, too...

"Please... don't kill me yet; I don't want to..."

Crack!

Leon snapped the hunter's neck without the hunter being able to finish his plea and threw the lifeless body to the ground; he looked up to where Alexander was.

Leon was already bored after killing so many C and B-rank hunters.

"Hmm... Violet, what do we do? Do we join them or stand still?" asked Erik, looking at Violet. He didn't know what to do while Leon, Adrian, and Irine finished off the enemies like a piece of cake.

It looks like Leon's minions are pretty strong... Erik thought.

"No, don't do anything, stand still. If you join, you'll be a burden," Alan said, watching his comrades defeat the enemies.

"And why didn't you join them?" Erik asked.

"Because I don't need to join them," Alan replied.

Erik narrowed his eyes. He thought this was not why he had not joined the battle. Could it be that he was afraid?

He shook his head, trying to forget that thought. He didn't think some of the people following Leon were afraid.

...

Alexander was watching his guild members die at the hands of Leon and his minions as if it were a piece of cake.

"Damn it, I didn't expect them to be so powerful, and Leon hasn't even used his Magical Energy!"

He had underestimated Leon entirely. He thought that if he attacked in numbers, he could at least leave him badly wounded to deliver the final blow. It was his strategy if he was using his guild members as fodder to weaken Leon, though it now seemed insufficient.

"Shadows appear," spoke Alexander, and five people appeared at his side.

- We were summoned, my lord.

"That's right, I have summoned you to carry out a coordinated attack," replied Alexander.

- But my lord, if we do so, the guild members will also perish due to the magnitude of the attack.

"Are you contradicting my words?"

- No, my lord!

"Then do as I command; don't force me to dish it out!" Alexander said neutrally as he began to unleash all his Magical Energy.

The five people also unleashed their magical abilities. The environment began to distort due to the magical power; the pieces of debris defied gravity, and so did his hair.

But gradually, the space returned to normal as the magical energy concentrated in front of Alexander.

Leon, feeling the immense concentration of magical energy on the rooftop of the building, smiled.

"This is what I've been waiting for. I was getting bored already," exclaimed Leon excitedly.

Everyone present began to feel an overwhelming concentration of magical energy on the rooftop of the Luminis guild building, which made the guild members' expressions even more somber.

Adrian and Irine positioned themselves in front of Erik and Violet. Irine created a dome of water to protect herself from imminent attack.

Alexander's expression turned grave when he felt the immense buildup of magical energy right before him.

He stretched his arms forward, and his hands began to move. The magical energy began to spin rapidly and become increasingly compressed.

Once the magical energy was completely compressed, Alexander activated his ability, and all that energy turned into a sphere of black energy the size of a tennis ball, spinning at high speed.

Alexander pointed the sphere of black energy towards Leon with a big smile, waiting for him to launch his attack. He took a deep breath.

Alexander shouted. "[Abyssal Sphere]"

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The black energy sphere shot out at high speed, creating consecutive explosions while its size increased, destroying nearby buildings.

"Run or we die..."

The guild members were about to start running for their lives, but it was already too late...

BOOM!!!!!

A massive explosion shook the entire city. It was scaring and alerting all the monsters feasting on those who failed to hide or get to the guild building.

"Gasp... gasp... gasp... I don't think he came out of that attack unscathed; no matter how powerful he is, he can't remain intact," Alexander said between groans. He had used all of his and his five subordinates' magical energy.

All that power was equivalent to the attack of a boss monster of rank A. That's why he believed that Leon would not come out unscathed from his powerful attack; no one in this world could resist that attack.

He believed, and he couldn't have been more wrong with that thought.

As the dense cloud of dust that had been raised due to the attack slowly dissipated, the first thing that was exposed was a huge crater. If you looked closely, you could see some limbs, like arms, legs, and heads.

Alexander visualized those limbs, a big grin plastered on his face, and couldn't bear to let out a crazy laugh.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa~!"

"Even the strongest hunter wouldn't survive that!"

Alexander was now pleased.

Not only had he given his beloved son an attribute, but he had also managed to kill the strongest hunter!

But he still lacked something to be completely satisfied...

"Alone, I need to find the hunters who killed my beloved son."

The dense cloud of dust dissipated, ultimately revealing, and with this, Alexander's big smile was wholly wiped away...

Leon stood shirtless but unharmed in the middle of the deep crater, his body covered in silver lightning.
