**Region of Fitoa, Buena village**
In a simple wooden house to the north of the village, inside a room with a table and a chair on one side and a large bed on the other, loud screams of a woman in labor could be heard. Soon after, a baby's cry was heard as the village midwife finally managed to deliver the baby.
The baby had some strands of very dark black hair with white skin, but the strangest thing was when he opened his eyes right after he stopped crying.
His eyes were blood-red with a circle in the pupil with 3 commas in the circle. He looked around with a gaze that seemed curious.
Until his curious gaze landed on the woman in bed, who appeared tired. She had disheveled brown hair from labor, with tired blue eyes that looked at the baby the midwife was holding with love. The woman seemed to have an average height with a slender body and an oval face with a youthful appearance.
"Give him to me," said the woman, extending her arms to the midwife.
"Emma, what name did you choose for him?" asked the midwife in return, while handing the baby to Emma with great care.
"I'll call him Kian," she replied while embracing the baby.
"But his eyes…" she said, looking at the child's face and seeing his blood-red eyes.
"There must have been a mutation in his eyes. I've heard that there are people who are born with eyes that have special abilities, but I didn't think it was real," said the midwife, also looking at the baby's eyes. "You'll have to pay attention to any abnormalities that might happen with him," she continued after a few seconds.
"No matter what they are, he will still be my baby!" Emma said while hugging Kian with love.
Suddenly, the door opened, and a tall man, about 1.90 meters in height, with a robust body and a square, rugged face, entered. He had black hair and brown eyes.
"Emma, how is the baby?" he asked, hurrying closer to his wife.
"Kian is fine, Owen," she said, looking at him.
"Kian? Didn't we agree on Thomas?" He looked at her incredulously for choosing the name without asking him.
"We didn't, you had chosen Thomas," Emma said, avoiding Owen's gaze.
While she spoke, he looked at the child to see if he was well. But looking at the child's face, he noticed the blood-red eyes with a circle in the pupils and 3 commas that were still. They suddenly started to slowly spin, and when the child looked at him, they became still again when he shifted his gaze to the rest of the room.
"The next one I'll name," Owen directed his attention to his wife while speaking with conviction in his voice.
"Okay, I'll let you name the next one," Emma said in return. "But it seems that little Kian is also tired of his mommy," she said, turning her gaze back to the child who began to fall into a deep sleep.
"You should rest too. I'll accompany her to the door," Owen said while bending down to kiss Emma's forehead. He then turned and started walking towards the front door of the house with the village midwife.
In the room, looking at the door where Owen had left, Emma murmured "Good night" while turning to Kian. Then she lay down on the bed and closed her eyes, falling into a deep sleep from exhaustion.

**Kian's POV:**
It has been a year since I reincarnated into this world. At first, I was quite confused about what had happened because the last thing I remember from Earth was being in the university lab, and suddenly I heard a crash and my consciousness faded.
What seemed like seconds later, I was looking at giant silhouettes with auras of different colors around their bodies.
The first few months were difficult, but I managed to endure. I also noticed that I was different, not in the usual way. I had photographic memory and an incredible dynamic vision. It was because of these changes that I managed to learn the language they speak here in less than 5 months.
But the ability that intrigued me the most was seeing people's auras. When I began to understand the language, I discovered that I was not on Earth; I had reincarnated into another world, one with magic, as I realized after a blonde woman who came with my mother and father to visit. They called her Zenith. She said a few words, and then I saw her aura flowing from her body to her hands. Then they glowed green, and I felt a warm, comforting sensation throughout my body.
After that day, I discovered that what I called an aura was the mana that floated around people's bodies. After she used her magic on me, I discovered another ability I had. I managed to copy exactly the process her mana took to cast the spell.
That night I tried to put my hypothesis into practice, and after my parents went to sleep, I began to move my mana. I could feel it since I was born, just like Zenith's mana, and then I felt the mana transforming from what I call its neutral form to a green color while it glowed in my hand, which I managed to lift with great effort to observe.
But it didn't last long because after just 3 seconds, the spell stopped, and I began to feel a strong drowsiness. I then gave in to sleep and decided to try again the next day.
After a few more days of testing, I discovered that the mana I had was like a muscle. The more I used it, the larger my mana reserves became. So every day, while I was alone in the room, I drained my mana reserves. But after a while, it started to become very difficult because, no matter how many healing spells I cast, I couldn't drain my mana reserves.
So I had an idea and tried to increase the amount of mana I put into each spell, thus modifying the original spell I copied from Zenith. And surprisingly, it worked, but the mana I wasted in the process was more than half of what I put in. Since I had a lot of free time and besides eating and getting dirty, I started to adjust and test what kind of modifications I could make to the spell. With my memory and dynamic vision, I could adjust in real-time the modifications, and even if I made a mistake by putting in too much or too little mana, I could adjust in the next test because I could remember exactly what happened, so I never made the same mistake again.
And now it seems I have completed a year, if the passing of the seasons means anything. During this time, I managed to modify the original healing spell to have a perpetual effect and not glow green like it did with my hands. Now it works throughout my body all day long, and all I need to do is pay a bit of attention to it. But I think that in some time, I will be able to maintain it without diverting any attention to it, with it functioning automatically as if it were a passive ability.
Besides this achievement, my other major accomplishment was that I could finally crawl. At least for me, this was a great achievement.
Thus, I finally managed to explore the house where I live and discovered that we lived in a small wooden house with two rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom, or at least what should be one. It's hard to believe that this is how medieval bathrooms were.
I also discovered that my mother, Emma, worked on the village's wheat plantation, and my father was one of the only blacksmiths in the entire village.
I looked for a book in the house but couldn't find any. I think that's normal too because, despite being in a world of magic, this world is in the medieval era, and in the medieval era, it was very difficult to get books.
Suddenly, I heard the sound of the front door opening and heard heavy footsteps approaching. It must be my father because my mother was in the kitchen, and the sounds are coming from the front door. Well, I think my exploration is over for today. I want to see if I can leave the house tomorrow.
