"Why is it related to your powers? And how did you know everyone's memories got altered ?" Anos asked with a frown, his eyes narrowing suspiciously.
If I told you how I know why everyone forgot their real memories, it would be like exposing my trump card," I replied, shaking my head emphatically.
"Then what do you need? You wouldn't bother explaining this much otherwise," Anos replied, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Quite the detective. Indeed, just teach me your Voldigoad bloodline's thunder fire spell. Otherwise, I won't tell you," I said firmly, locking eyes with him.
Anos raised an eyebrow. "I'll just show you the theory and formula."
"I'm alright with that," Karna replied, a determined look in his eyes.
Anos sighed, then asked, "Are there any other Voldigoads in the other layers?"
"To tell you the truth, I did find one with the Voldigoad bloodline," I said, weaving another white lie into the conversation.
"Are you sure?" Anos inquired, his skepticism evident.
"Yes, I'm pretty sure. The thunder fire spell he used was quite deadly."
We then used Zect to form our contract, the magic sealing our agreement.
"Someone has changed fate," I replied, breaking the silence that had settled over us.
"Huh? Are you sure? And how do you—" Anos paused, realization dawning on his face. "So, your powers... is it related to the origin?"
"Who knows," I said with a shrug. "As for who did it, I can only guess. And you know who that person is, don't you?"
"Tell me. I'm curious who is so strong that they can change fate," Sasha interjected, her eyes wide with curiosity.
"Hero Kanon," I replied, watching their reactions closely.
"What?" Sasha exclaimed, taken aback. "I think he might have done this because demons hate humans. Even now, there isn't much contact with the Hero Academy."
While I talked with Misha and Sasha, Anos stood deep in thought.
"Why would Kanon do something like this? How can there be peace between races?" Anos's mind was racing with many thoughts, his expression troubled.
According to our contract, Anos then wrote down all the principles and workings of Flame Magic Heavy Cannon and Laviers Gilg Gaveriizd, handing over the intricate details reluctantly.
"Let's join Anos's team," I said to both Sasha and Misha. "Are we accepted in your team?" I asked, turning back to Anos.
"I'm fine with it," he said, though his thoughts remained guarded. This might be the best way to monitor him, Anos thought.
"Are you sure?" Misha asked, her voice soft and cautious.
"Doesn't that mean you will come under Anos?" Sasha questioned, her brow furrowing.
"Let it be. Besides, isn't he your founding ancestor? I thought you might feel good if we are in the team of your founder."
"I guess that's okay," Sasha said, considering the possibility and nodding slowly.
"I'm okay with you as the leader, Karna," Misha said, her shy smile reassuring.
"Haha. Don't worry, Anos is quite benevolent towards his people. Isn't that true, Anos?"
"Yes," Anos replied immediately, his serious demeanor lightening slightly. "And there is no need to use honorifics with me. At this moment, I am just a student like you."
Sasha and Misha exchanged surprised glances but nodded in agreement.
"Then we are going to explore the dungeon this afternoon," Karna announced.
"I don't remember there being any dungeons in Delsgate. Did they develop in 2000 years?" Anos asked, puzzled.
"We do have a dungeon and it might filled with many treasures and weapons. There are many unlocked traps there," I said with a smirk, enjoying the confusion on his face.
While Sasha was thinking, she wondered how he didn't know about a dungeon near his castle. Soon, realization hit Anos.
"Those guys are using my treasure hall as a dungeon," said Anos with a bit of displeasure.
"Pufff," Sasha couldn't hold her laughter. We all laughed while looking at his face, the tension easing.
After submitting our application, we were now in Anos's team. Most of the class and even Emilia were baffled when they heard I was joining Anos's team.
I think this might be her most troublesome thing to deal with, two misfits together.
"Looks like we're in for an interesting time," I said, exchanging a knowing glance with Sasha and Misha.

"Say, Anos, can I take some items from your treasury?" I asked, trying to sound casual while conjuring sound barriers to ensure our conversation remained private.
Anos raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. "I have no problem with that, but why do you need them?"
"Oh, well, tomorrow is Sasha and Misha's birthday," I explained with a smile. "I've prepared some gifts for them, but I thought I should add something unique from your treasury to make it special."
Anos nodded thoughtfully. "That's a nice thought. I'm sure they'll appreciate it."
