Chương 24: Chapter 24 Silica
Hearing Zen's words, the woman started to get excited again because maybe she still had a chance to revive her best friend.
"How do you help me master swordsman?" the woman asked hopefully.
"I'll help you raise your level and get you there, how about it?" Zen said.
"B-But.. B-But" said Silica.
Zen then opened his storage and looked for a suitable item to help the woman in front of him. The woman was surprised to see an imaginary screen appear in front of her with a list of various items.
"Those items will be very useful to help you increase your level" said Zen.
"But master swordsman, why are you doing all this for me?" she asked.
"Shouldn't we be helping each other? Moreover, you remind me of an acquaintance of mine" replied Zen.
"Okay, but I will pay for all these items" the woman said as she opened the menu.
Seeing this, Zen patted the woman's head and said she didn't have to pay for it. Seeing Zen's actions, the woman immediately blushed a little.
"Okay let's introduce ourselves each. My name is Zen" said Zen
"I-I'm Silica, please take care of me from now on Zen-san" the woman said.
Silica was happy right now, because she thought a good man helped her, but after hearing the woman who had argued with her earlier, who said that some people helped her because of her appearance, Silica started to hold back her feelings at this point.
But Silica again thought about why a man as handsome and strong as Zen helped her if she wanted to take advantage of him. After all, Zen said, he helped her because Zen reminded her of someone she knew. Imagining all this, Silica began to hope again.
Then the two of them decided to get out of this forest, while slaughtering several monsters that hindered their journey together.
Zen and Silica were now in a town called Mishe, a city where medium power level users gathered. After they exited the forest, Silica offered Zen to spend the night at an inn in this city.
Zen, who had no reason to reject Silica's proposal, finally agreed with her proposal. Along the way, it turns out that Silica is very famous. Even some players tried to recruit him and rejected him.
Silica simply took Zen and used it as a shield to ward off those people. Seeing this, all the players who idolized Silica started to stare at Zen with murderous eyes.
Zen himself just ignored them, because his level with them was very far from him.
"It turns out that you are very famous Silica" said Zen
"Indeed Zen-san, but they approached me not because of my fighting skills, but because they would only use me as a mascot to encourage them" said Silica.
Then Silica explained various things about herself to Zen, including her nickname, Silica the dragon tamer. But after she told the story, Silica again sadly recalled her best friend.
Seeing Silica's sad face, Zen then put his hand on Silica's head and started to rub it.
"We will revive him" Zen said with a smile.
Silica who heard this started to smile again with a blush on her face, and started to wipe away the tears that were at the corners of her eyes.
Finally they continued their journey with a light chat. Suddenly a group led by a woman approached the two of them.
"Ara... Isn't that Silica?" the woman said in a tone of sarcasm. Hearing this, Silica's expression began to change.
"Thank God you made it out of the forest safely. However, I didn't see your gecko?" said the female leader of the group.
"Her name is Pina, and she's dead. But I'll make sure to bring her back to life" said Silica who was starting to fall for the provocation from the woman.
"So you're going to the Hill of Memories? If that's the case-" the woman was cut off.
"Sorry we're busy, we don't have time to talk to you" said Zen who cut the woman off for trying to provoke Silica.
"Ara... are you one of the men who are attracted to her? And seeing you don't look strong in my eyes" said the woman trying to turn her provocation target towards Zen.
However Zen started to take Silica's hand and left the place, ignoring the woman's words. Seeing that the woman began to lick her lips and began to think of a plan.
After leaving the woman's place with his group, Zen started to calm Scilica down. Silica who had calmed down finally tried to invite Zen to stop at her favorite restaurant.
The two of them started to order something, on the other hand Silica started to notice Zen as she became attracted to him, due to his kind and warm attitude towards him.
While Zen himself is currently sewas watching something, because he felt he was being followed by someone. After looking around and finding people following him, Zen then came up with a plan.
"How about we go to your room Silica to get something medical," said Zen after the two of them finished their meal.
"M-My R-room?" Scilica said with her face already starting to turn completely red.
"Yeah, we're going to discuss something about the area where we'll be raising your level." Zen said
"Oh... B-Alright" said Silica trying to hide her embarrassment.
Finally Zen and Silica arrived at a room that Silica had rented at this inn. Zen started to move the table beside the bed in this room to the center of this room.
Silica, who was currently very nervous because it was the first time she was alone with a man in the same room, just stayed silent without knowing what to do. Zen then finished preparing the place and took out a lantern-like device that indicated the location.
Zen started to explain his plan which Silica heard seriously. But Zen deliberately raised his voice so that the players who had followed him a long time ago and were now eavesdropping on them, listened to Zen's plan.
Then Zen started to leave Silica's room after she finished explaining her plan and told her to rest to get through a very tough tomorrow.

The next day, Zen and Silica were facing this dungeon monster. Zen deliberately weakened the monster and then ordered Silica to finish off the monster.
"Silica switch" said Zen after successfully weakening a monster.
Silica without a second thought immediately slashed at the monster with her dager and managed to defeat it. After eliminating the monster, Zen brought Silica back to defeat the next monster.
Their hunting continues until noon. Silica's current level had greatly increased, because Zen's level-up method was very effective.
They continued to slaughter the monsters, until finally Silica reached a level that could take her to a place that could bring her best friend back to life.
