Fiona crossed her legs, staring at her nails as if they were the most fascinating thing in the world. She had no idea why she had agreed to this excuse of a meeting. Oh! She had an idea. It was because Beth had pleaded with her, promising that she wouldn't regret meeting Jack.
"It's nice to meet you, Fiona," Jack said, looking her up.
Fiona responded with a grunt as if she cared about what a man who couldn't control his wife thought about her. She could handle Mia alone, so to her, the meeting was pointless. "Can we just get to the point of this meeting?"
