Ayibapreye was already tired of the desert country she was in. It had been a few days since she and her family arrived in this tourist hotspot and she felt the novelty of it wear off on the third day. Besides, it didn't help that they'd already been there a couple of times before. Her mother absolutely adored the wide array of shops in which she could splurge her money. She wished her mother would consider that not everyone enjoyed walking until the soles of their feet were ready to bleed.
Her older siblings, Joy and Daniel sat on their beach towels ignoring each other and listening to music or browsing through social media while her parents took a stroll along the edge of the beach, walking hand in hand and as in love as the first time they'd laid eyes on each other while her two younger siblings played around in the sand. preye wondered if she'd ever find love like that.
Sighing, Ayibapreye made her way over to the bar and ordered a sprite. She wasn't an alcohol at all . Maybe she'd order a glass of tropical fruit juice when the frustration of her parents forcing her and her siblings to "get some fresh air" finally reached its peak.
