Noticing the look on the young man's face, Mystia wryly smiled back at him, briefly glancing at Marcus before deciding to open her mouth. "Your thoughts are most likely to be correct, Valyr."

"The Shadow Plane did attack the Mystic Plane in the past."

Although he thought it was the most likely explanation for Marcus' sudden shift in expression, the young man's eyes still widened in disbelief as Mystia confirmed the hypothesis forming in his mind.

Glancing at Marcus, Valyr noticed that the man was looking back at him, the expression of fury from before having subsided to a lesser degree.
