The summoning had failed as Vorinax had declined the call, and while disappointed, Alex was not surprised, knowing that after the last battle, Vorinax was in a terrible condition.

Although summons possessed immortality during their stay in the ancient world, they were still susceptible to injuries that extended beyond mere superficial damages.

Alex didn't think much of it and drank a potion, and when his mana was back to a reasonable level, he used the regular version of the skill, hoping he could summon someone decent.

"Do you have a way to enter the barrier," Andrei said as he walked next to Alex.

"It will depend on our luck," Alex replied and hearing it, the whole team exchanged happy glances, realizing they were not out of the competition just yet.
