Chương 7: Chapter 7
Simu was laying down with her eggs when she felt the movement from two of the eggs one after another.
Unlike other beastmen babies, snake beastmen are in human form when born. Hence, Simu had prepared blankets for that very reason.
The eggs moved at first, then stopped, then moved again.
"It's ok my babies, take your time"
They did stop for a moment; as if they were hearing her. But then it started again.
(Tear) With the help of some sharp baby teeth, the first one fist poked his head out. But it then went inside, to look from within.
It was quite a funny scene for Simu. But her eyes then teared up. The baby seemed to understand the anticipation as it finally stumbled out of his egg in a hurry.
Simu held him and wrapped him in the towel.
"Ohh dear!!! My babyyy!! You're finally here. Oh waow!!! My babyyyy!! What shall I call you? Umm…. How about Nabin? You're my Nabin now... 'muah' quite literally it means new beginning too, makes sense."
Nabin starts to cry very hard as she continues talking to him.
"Ouuu baby don't cry, it's alright, it's okay. It's okay shuss it's okay .."
The baby had soft straight black hair with some silver on the top. And he had lovely red chubby cheeks, adorable enough to want to kiss them all the time.
And there goes another tear. Both Nabin and Simu turn their heads immediately as another head pokes out and stumbles out of the egg.
"Ahh..ahh"
"Awwww here comes my another little one. It's okay baby.. It's okay.. Come here my love.. Look how lovely you are… Ohh dear.. I'd thought of some names and this perfectly fits you.. You're my Naval… it means wonderful. A perfect word to describe you.."
Naval was as adorable as Navin, the only difference being his hair colour. It was all silver; with not a single strand of black .
Naval starts crying. Listening to him, so does Nabin. Simu takes them both into her arms and starts patting on their back slowly, calming them down.
Pujan wraps it's vine around the children. It seems to amuse them so they start laughing; with tears still in their eyes.
All of them look towards the last egg. There is no movement. Suddenly, Simu grabs the egg and starts tearing it gently. The baby needed help, an instinct spoke. Slowly, she took the baby out of the egg and gently rubbed it in the chest area. The baby finally started coughing and crying.
Unlike his brothers, this baby was skinny and pale.
Finally, all the babies had made their way out into the beastmens world.
"Baby boy, look at you.. All lovely...let's call you Neerav, it means calm. And also don't be so quiet the next time, mommy can't handle it."
Simu takes all the babies one by one and cleans them. She then puts them in the nest, letting them play with Pujan for a while.
Snake beast women don't have any milk glands nor do they have any breast in human form. At first, babies eat their own egg out of hunger. Then, they have meat.
Simu gives all of the children their eggs. They seem confused. She forgot that they had their previous life memories. If anyone else had seen babies that clueless, they would surely have freaked out.
"Eat it. You are meant to"
The children proceed to eat it slowly. The children were about the age of 2 even though they were just born. It was because they were attacked they could run by themselves. It was always like this in the wild.
Simu then proceeded to give them clothes to wear. Although snake beastmen are cold blooded, the babies still need warmth when young.
After eating one third of the egg, babies stop eating and call for their mother to sleep alongside them.
"Ahh sto.. Ry.."
'Awww you guys have already started making words..how lovely you all are!! '
(Quite amusing, isn't it? Talking right after birth.. Well, it's not that surprising here.)
"Okay. Well, long ago, there was a huge kingdom..."
The children quickly fell asleep. Simu places Nabin and Naval on her either side and Neerav on her chest. She almost lost this child. She was still scared. She wanted to keep him close to herself for a little longer. The vine slowly stretches towards the child in the middle.
This time Simu sees for herself as the vines radiate light that then goes inside the child's body, leaving his face with a healthy glow.
"Oh dear, thank you so much...I didn't know you could do this too. Did you help me last time too?"
The vine just stretches to wrap around her pinky finger.
"Aww you're shy"
The vine then wraps even more.
"Ok ok. You're not shy. Just happy then."
The vine loosens up a little to tighten again.
"hahaha.. Alright I won't tease you any more. Good night"
The vine lets go of her pinky again to wrap around her hair strands.

"waaaaaa"
"waaaahh.."
"wa..uh..uh.."
Around the evening, the wailing of some babies is heard. A large snake is seen making wave-like motions.
Simu rushes to the cave as soon as she can as she hears the babies cry. She's happy and relieved seeing the green vines pat the babies back slowly to calm them down.
"Thank you my dear.. What would I have done if it weren't for you Pujan."
One vine wraps around her waist, shaking a little.
"Ohh why are you crying my babies? See I'm back.. Don't cry, it's ok.."
The babies cry for a little while and start hiccups one after another which make them more teary.
"Don't..go..mu..y" (nabin)
"mu.. My.. No like.. us.?" (neerav)
"no.. Leek..ma?"(naval)
"I was just outside little ones. I'll never go anywhere far from my dear. Of course mummy likes you! I love you so much.. Don't you ever think otherwise. Who else would I ever love?"
"awyas toth.. er?
" Yes dears, always "
The children finally stop crying and break out a smile.
poot..
" Yee….Who did that? "
" No ..me "naval says while covering his face.
" it.. Puan. "(neerav)
" uh.. Pun"
"Is it Pujan? humm"
The vines shake desperately claiming it did not do it.
Finally the children laugh hard, falling over each other and laughing again.
Simu just smiles sitting at the side as the children and the plant play together. She knew there were still a lot of trials to face to finally have them let go of their past. But knowing that she was going to be with the kids throughout brought a little sense of satisfaction.
(Fun fact: Both plants and snakes can fart. Farts by plants is something you will never hear But farts by snakes sound like humans. So the next time you fart and there's a snake in the room you can just blame it on it.)
