-3 months later-

Haah life is tough. Especially if you have an over enthusiastic wife who is pregnant and gets mood swings occasionally while pinning even bad dreams as your fault.
But I still love her. Just wish she was still acting shy and cute when we first met.
Learning Sage mode is nothing complicated as Jiraiya-sensei described it just took a few weeks but I got a knack for it and now I can easily enter and exit safe mode any minute. I am now the strongest I have ever been. I am confident I don't lack in any department, Speed? I am faster enough to leave after images, Defence? I have lightning armour, Power? A punch at a speed which leaves after an image has plenty of power, Chakra? Sage mode, Sensory? Sage mode, Stamina? Sage mode, Healing? Sage mode and stamina? Sage Mode. I think I can take on the first hokage in a fight, maybe. But I am sure there is no one stronger than me alive currently.
Did I get cocky? Maybe but I'd say I'm confident.
But applying nature transformation to the Rasengan is still a failure though. Finding the perfect ratio is very hard but during that process I have managed to master Nature transformation for all the basic elements.
Learning the perfect variants of elemental Rasengan is very hard, I almost lost my arm when the wind style Rasengan expanded several times its size when a fly touched it. If I wasn't fast enough and teleport away I would have lost my arm.
Since then I am using clones, especially elemental clones since they just don't send the useless memories back. One may wonder then what's the use? Well I am just using them as a model, I will study from their moves and learn from them.
But the main reason I avoid using Shadow Clones is because of the backlash. After all, I don't want to be more stressed than I already am.
Sigh being a hokage is tough. I need to look at every single document, plans and bills and make decisions. No wonder Hiruzen-sama needed a pipe.
I looked at the current academy graduates list in front of me. The current generation is not that exceptional. There are some who are skilled, but not on the level of the recent genius of the Uchiha Clan, Shisui Uchiha. The grandson of Uchiha Kagami and an exceptionally talented kid from what I've seen with a kind heart. An ideal candidate for becoming the Hokage. He can put an end to the Uchiha prejudice and lead Konoha to a greater and bright future.But why is his father not mentioned? His mother is not even married. I am thinking of taking that kid as my student after my son is born. Technically he is already under me as he is in the Anbu.
Yeah we came to know his gender, it's a boy, we still haven't decided on his name.
But back to the main topic, the Uchiha Clan. The situation is not the best, rumours are being spread by Danzo about Uchiha are just making the things more complicated.
Sigh… The first day after a long time I myself came to the hokage office and I am already stuck with a headache. Should I just strip Danzo off his titles and authorities, he has become old and his decisions are getting more and more idiotic.
"Fox, Bat come in"
I called two of the five Anbus who are assigned to protect me all the time.
Fox and Bat immediately appeared before me and kneeled.
"Hokage-sama" x2
"I need you two to spy and report Danzo for 2 weeks. Collect as many details as possible and inform me immediately if you found something related to the Uchiha clan. Be careful and retreat when he tries attacking."
"Yes" x2
They just disappeared leaving behind a gust of wind.
"Rabbit"
"Yes Hokage-sama"
He too appeared in front of me immediately.
'Today is supposed to be a break for Shisui right?'
"I want you to go call Uchiha Shisui here, He must be in his house."
"Hai"
Hmm I should promote Shisui, after all he is strong and talented enough to be a Jonin but I don't want to expose him to dangers above his level too.. I'll just make him a Special Jonin, that way he will earn higher and can still be relatively safe. At least till he becomes a Jonin.
This will also help quell down the heat with Uchiha clan.

-Uchiha Shisui-
This is getting worse day by day. I work my ass off every day to get a good name for the clan just so that our clan doesn't get fully ostracised but these guys still think we are the strongest in the village?
These idiots! We may be strong but if the whole village unites we wouldn't survive a day. Hell probably the hokage alone will be enough to Kill us all but I know he won't. But the ones who are starting to break basic laws saying that an Uchiha should become the Hokage? Those guys are straight up insulting the Hokage directly. If some shinobi hears that they are bound to get angry. Hell even I am angry, the hokage is probably the kindest person I've ever seen, he doesn't even give me the missions which involves killing since I don't like them much. He helped me with my signature Jutsu too.
I swear I'll beat up anyone who insults Namikaze-sama.
Haah… Lying under the fan is the best.,. He even gives his Anbus breaks regularly. What more competent Hokage could one need? An Uchiha becoming an hokage, you idiots can't even smile and you want to become the Hokage? The beacon of hope and strength? Childish.
*Knock* *Knock*
Huh? Who is here this time?
"I'll get it MOM!" I say while going downstairs.
I unlocked the door and was instantly surprised.
"Rabbit?"
Why is he here? Any sudden mission?
"Hokage-sama asked you to come meet him"
Why? Did I make a mistake? Maybe I am getting demoted because of the failure of my last mission? I was panicking about why he would call me.
"Don't fret it kid. He just wanted to speak with you"
" Then I'll change and come"
I am going to meet the Hokage, I should look my best.
I changed to my shinobi uniform and left with Rabbit after informing mom about it. I left with Rabbit to the Hokage office quickly to not let Hokage-sama wait. I should not embarrass myself in front of my Idol.
"Why are you running this fast?" Rabbit asked me, visibly struggling to keep up with my speed.
"I can't let him wait."
"His schedule is free today.." I ignored him and ran even faster and soon reached the Hokage building.
Standing in front of the door of the hokage's office I slowly knocked, "It's Shisui Uchiha, Hokage-sama!"
"Come in"
I slowly entered and there he was, just looking at him I could feel his strength and power. The current Uchiha head, Fugaku-sama stands no chance compared to him.
"Sorry to interrupt your break," He said with his ever sunny smile.
"Ah, I don't mind Hokage-sama"
I would be here even if I was busy.
"I called you here just to congratulate you on your promotion to Special-Jonin." He smiled.
"Ah?" What?
"You are promoted to a Special-Jonin Shisui. From now on you are a Special-Jounin Konoha."
"Really?"
"Haha yeah"
Damn I can feel tears forming in my eyes. I should not cry in front of Hokage-sama.
"Thank-ks Hokage-sama." My voice choked slightly.
"It's fine. You deserve it after all. With your strength and abilities you can be considered a Jonin but you aren't ready for it yet."
If he says so it must be it. I am still not ready.
"I know this may seem sudden, and it is." His expression turned grim, "I initially planned to test you with Bat or Fox, but since the situation is getting serious day by day I had to hurry."
"I-" I tried to speak, but stopped after he signalled me to stay quiet.
"I have noticed that some of the Uchihas are misbehaving and I have a solution to quell the tension."
Those idiots!
"I want you to become my disciple. I wanted to wait till my son was born but now seems like the best time for it."
Am I dreaming? Kai! I don't seem to be in a genjutsu either.
Today is the 21st of June right? This is my lucky day from now on.
"Yes!" I nearly shouted due to happiness and nervousness.
"Hahaha. It probably isn't going to be as great as you imagine"
Who is he kidding? Being the student of the guy who is the whole reason the war was stopped is not great?
I am sure this will make those guys shut up too.
-An hour later-
Being his student is the greatest, I thought he isn't skilled in genjutsu but he easily put me in a genjutsu which I failed to notice even with my sharingan. It wasn't that he is a genius in genjutsu, it is just that he is seriously talented and experienced in fighting. He didn't even use his hands in the spar he conducted to assess my strength and level.
I gave it my all in the fight but he easily beat me with a simple illusion, a clone. He made a clone on top of himself and stepped back at the right moment when I was about to make contact, and grabbed my leg, making me hang upside down in the air. Since the clone was on top of himself my Sharingan couldn't detect it, all I saw was just a thin layer of the brightest chakra I've ever seen covering him. I thought that was him reinforcing himself with his chakra.
Wait now that I think about it he never used chakra reinforcement the whole fight! You're telling me he tanked all my chakra enhanced blows with his pure physical might?
As expected of the Hokage-sama, I have a long way to go. Maybe I should start exercising to increase my physical power too. Now that I am the Hokage's student I can't afford to fall back and shame him.
I ran back to my home after the best incident in my life. I opened the door and removed my shoes to run and tell my mom immediately.
"Mom!"
I stand before her to tell her the happy news.
"What?"
"I became the Hokage's student"
"Whahahah!... Haah… Hahahha! That's the best joke I've heard."
Seriously mom?
"Wait really?" She asked with serious confusion.
"Really" I nodded.
"I am proud of you son, you are finally not a failure" She said while wiping her tears which I am sure are fake, I hope it is.
Haah… the problem of having a mother who was an actor.
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
