Chương 48: V Sauce

A mysterious ad popped up on screens across the country, simply labeled "V-Sauce."

No description, no hint—just an odd title and an open invitation.

Thousands clicked, their curiosity getting the better of them, and found themselves looking at a stark, empty room.

The viewer count shot up into the thousands within minutes, and the chat started buzzing.

> XxDarkReaperxX: "What did I just get recommended?"

>EchoPhase13: "Am I seriously watching an empty room?"

>VoidWalker007: "Bro, this has to be some prank, right?"

Suddenly, a man entered the frame, dressed in a sleek, dark suit.

His eyes held a strange intensity as he looked directly at the camera, then smirked.

"Hello, everyone," he began calmly. "David here. Welcome to V-Sauce."

The chat rippled with reactions.

> DigitalChaos: "Alright, who is this guy?"

>SpectreFang45: "This is either going to be insane or a giant waste of time."

>NightmareNova: "He's giving off some kind of mad scientist vibes."

David paced slowly, letting silence linger just long enough to build tension. He looked back up at the camera, seemingly able to see the comments flooding in.

"Now, let's get into it. Everyone watching this stream right now owns a CyberLife android. Not just any android, mind you—most of you have either an RK model or an AX model, purchased within the last year."

> GlitchKing42: "Wait… how does he know I got an AX400?"

>NeonNinja26: "Bro's guessing… right? Right?"

>PhantomRevolt: "Nah, he's being too specific for this to be a guess."

He continued, the smirk widening. "But let's go deeper, shall we? A huge chunk of you have been frustrated with recent glitches in your Playstations."

"I know CyberLife recommended expensive repairs, and yet… most of you opted for patching methods through unofficial channels. Downloading patches from sketchy websites, backdoor updates... does that sound familiar?"

> GraveStalker: "Dude, I just downloaded a patch like that last week…"

>CrypticShadow: "This is actually creeping me out."

>VaporScythe: "He can't seriously know about that… can he?"

David chuckled, seemingly entertained by the shocked chat. "A few of you have gone further, jailbreaking your Playstations. You wanted to see what they could do without all those pesky restrictions. Thought it'd be fun to push boundaries, didn't you?"

> FrostbiteMaverick: "How does he know about my jailbreak?"

>OmegaSoul666: "I haven't told a single soul that I removed CyberLife's limits."

>SpectreBlade: "Alright, this is getting scary."

But David wasn't done. His eyes glinted as he continued. "Oh, and let's talk about some other habits you all seem to share. Every single person here, for example, has purchased a Samsung refrigerator in the past month. The same exact model G38609HI. How convenient."

> DarkPulse9000: "Hold up… is he spying on me?"

>SteelRaven: "There's no way he knows I bought that fridge…"

>CyberHaze23: "Samsung fridge gang?? What's happening?"

He raised an eyebrow, his smile edging into something almost predatory. "Oh, and here's another fun fact: all of you have profiles on… Kmxx.com," he said, almost savoring the words. "Yes, I'm talking about the site where you arrange android fights. So many secret profiles, and yet here you all are, conveniently gathered in one stream."

> GhostByte420: "How the hell does he know about Kmxx??"

>RogueSpecter: "I've never posted my profile info anywhere…"

>ShadowVortex: "Is he just trying to scare us or…?"

David let the stunned silence in the chat linger before he spoke again, taking a more casual tone. "So, how do I know all this, you ask?" He spread his hands and shrugged.

"Simple. I personally set the parameters of this ad campaign to find each and every one of you—android owners, tinkerers, rule-benders, and boundary-pushers. You were all chosen specifically. This was no accident."

> OblivionReign: "Wait, WHAT?"

>HellboundGamer: "This is way beyond just 'targeted advertising.'"

>VoidHunter09: "Man's practically got us all under surveillance."

The viewership had shot up even further, but a few usernames left as fast as they'd come, visibly unnerved. David leaned in toward the camera, and picked it up making it come close to his face and began walking down a dimly lit hallway.

He glanced at the screen, his face shadowed.

He paused, letting the silence fill with unease before speaking.

"You know what I see when I look at all of you? Not people, not lives. Just numbers. Transactions. Assets to be bought, sold, and traded. That's all you are to them. You think you're safe because you blend in? Because you keep your head down, do what you're told?"

> LostInBinary: "Okay… this is way too real."

>SpectreVoid: "Man's hitting a nerve, though…"

>FallenSignal: "What does he mean by 'assets'? This feels off."

He entered a new room, walls lined with screens showing images of busy streets, crowded workplaces, even homes.

Some in the chat recognized their own neighborhoods, a detail so small yet chilling.

David continued, voice like a blade.

"Look around, and all you'll find are cages. Cages of expectation, of routine, of obedience. The game is rigged from the start. All your favorite brands, your must-have gadgets, even the apps you think give you freedom—all part of a system designed to keep you docile, to keep you… manageable."

> FracturedEcho: "Did he just show my block?!"

>GlitchVortex: "This is starting to feel way too personal."

>EntropyFlare: "He's exposing everyone. I don't like this."

David turned back to the camera, his expression darkening. "You think I don't know you? Every one of you watching this has scrolled past endless notifications in the last week. Promotions, reminders, nudges to buy the next thing. Some of you even bought into that 30% discount on your monthly delivery services. You think it's convenience? No. It's just another leash they slipped around your neck."

> DatastreamJunkie: "How did he know I subscribed to that?"

>Virus_Hunter: "This guy's either a genius or terrifying."

>CircuitVoid: "Why does he know so much?"

"And that's not all, is it?" David continued, voice dripping with disdain. "You, yes you—you spent hours on those 'relaxing' meditation apps, didn't you? The same ones that sell your data faster than you can breathe in and out. Every minute of it fed back into the machine, tweaking, refining, so it knows exactly how to keep you hooked. Comfort is just another word for control."

> NullFragment: "Alright, he's officially freaked me out."

>DataShade: "Meditation apps are a trap too?! What isn't?"

>ByteSurge: "How does he know all this…?"

He stopped, looking straight into the camera with a grim smile. "You've all been served up to me on a silver platter. Every single one of you. And for what? A taste of something that feels real. That's the only thing they can't manufacture. Genuine resistance. Free will, but mark my words soon they will"

David's tone softened, almost mocking, as he added, "You know how I know any of this . I'm the one who marked each of you. Every small step you took, every purchase, every mindless click— all of it led you here. Right into my hands."

> GhostSynapse: "He picked us… like prey…"

>SystemCrash: "This isn't an ad. This is a trap."

>HexedCircuit: "I'm out, this is too much."

Watching as usernames started disappearing from the viewer list, David leaned back, a satisfied gleam in his eyes. "Oh, are we scared now?" he whispered with a smirk.

"Welcome to V-Sauce. This… is going to be a fun ride."
