As Eira was prepared to fight, a strange portal appeared behind them.
"It's time to go, the others need us. They've successfully located the target." Dabi said.
"Alright, let's go." Magne said.
Before Eira could stop them, they had all already stepped into the portal, and were slowly disappearing.
"Except you, Toga. Stay here and don't let her get away." Dabi said, before disappearing into the portal.
Now, it was just Eira and Toga.
"Finally, I've been waiting for this for a long time. I wanted to see you again, you know? Your blood, your eyes, the way you smell, you're exactly my type." Toga said, the blush was evident on her cheeks.
Eira didn't know what to say, she was just on guard. Carefully analyzing Toga's next movie.
"Toga, what are you here for?" she asked.
Toga had her arms behind her back and was walking cutely around the area. Glancing in the sky before looking at Eira.
"We were supposed to be catching a pro hero, however, it seems the plan changed. At least for me since I wasn't here for that hero anymore, it was for you."
Eira searched if there were any signs of dishonesty in Toga's eyes, however, she was really telling the truth.
"So what do you plan to do from now on, Toga? Now that we've met, are you sure you don't want to be on the same side?" Eira asked.
"On the same side? Wouldn't that be boring? Though, I guess we'll be on the same side sooner or later. And why don't you call me by my first name like the old times, Eira? I don't have to call you Zero anymore." Toga said.
Eira felt shivers down her spine when Toga called her by her first name. Of the few people she was close with personally, two similar people had that effect on her, and one of them was Toga.
Himiko Toga, a strangely crazy yet sweet girl that never did anything to hurt her in the past. Nonetheless, despite their differences, they got along surprisingly well.
They hung out together all the time until Eira decided to pursue her ideals as a hero, leaving Toga behind.
Now, they were face to face, one as a hero, and one as a villain.
"Well then, Himiko. What now?" Eira asked.
"I'll show you." Toga replied.
Toga dashed forward, a bright smile on her face with pink tinted cheeks, and a knife in her hand. The once innocent girl had been tainted with evil.
Eira formed a knife of her own, she parried Toga's attacks quite easily. Somehow, she felt her icy heart start to form cracks. The more her heart hurt, the faster she was parrying Toga.
Their exchanges were like conversations, blades conversing with each other as they poured out their feelings through fighting.
She had an opening, quickly, she lunged forward with her knife forward. Himiko had also lunged forward, she had a backup knife in her other hand in case something went wrong.
Both of their knives were aiming at the stomach, however, one of them hesitated while the other didn't, and plunged the knife in deep into their stomach.
"You hesitated."
"I know."
Eira looked down at her stomach where the knife had pierced into her stomach, only the handle could be seen as the blade was deep inside her stomach.
There were dozens of times where she could've taken down Toga in an instant, yet she couldn't bring herself to.
She looked into Himiko's eyes as she spat out blood.
There was joy, excitement, however among the many emotions contained inside her eyes, there was sadness, and pain.
Eira knew why, as the villain, if she hesitated to kill her, then she would be labeled as a traitor, and be immediately executed by whoever she was working for.
Her vision was starting to become blurry as everything seemed to be darkening.
Suddenly, she felt a sting on her neck.
"Hi…miko?" Eira uttered.
"I'm just taking in some of your blood, quite a lot of it actually. That way, we'll forever be one." Toga said.
For the first time, Eira felt like she was going to die. She knew the knife was delaying the process since it was stopping the blood from flowing out.
Moreover, Himiko's biting, and sucking seemed to give her some pleasure for her final moments.
She thought of Yu, her precious smile, but in the end, she knew something.
With all her strength, she wrapped her arms around Himiko, and pulled her as close as possible.
Himiko was shocked, pulling herself away from Eira's neck. She paused for a moment before wrapping her arms around Eira too.
"Eira…?" she asked, innocently.
Eira smiled, for a moment, it sounded just like the sweet, innocent Himiko she knew in the past.
"To me…you were always a sweet girl. I could never…harm you…my…first…"
However, before Eira could finish her sentence, her head slumped forward against Himiko's shoulder.
She had stayed awake for as long as she could.
Himiko stood there, unable to do anything except holding up Eira.
She felt a trail of wetness dripping down her face as she quickly wiped it away. The excitement and joy wasn't there anymore.
There was a feeling of fear overwhelming her as she realized something.
She might really be losing her.
"Hey Eira?" Toga muttered. "Eira…wake up!"
Toga was repeatedly patting Eira's back, but to her demise, nothing was happening.
That was when reality started to set in.
Suddenly, she felt a familiar presence behind her. Instantly, she put Eira's body down swiftly yet gently.
"I see your work is done, let's go." Dabi said.
"Alright." Toga said.
In the corner of her eye, she saw many heroes running towards them. Quickly, she entered the portal behind Dabi.
She took one last glance before leaving, feeling relieved that there was a chance Eira would live.
Meanwhile, Aizawa was panicking from the sight. He had called several medics over to help save Eira.
The situation was grim, who knows how long she had been like this.
Sweat dripped down from his forehead, out of all the people who were arriving at death's door, he didn't expect Eira to be one of them.
"Damn it!"
