Chương 6: PAGE 6: CHANGE
A week passed in a flash and Kazuya was slowly getting used to his training but his martial arts training got harder as he began fighting Sung and with Sung's quirk it was impossible to get a hit in. Arianna's training also went up a notch as she began sparring with Kazuya so as to make him get a feel of fighting with a sword, Kazuya almost cried as he realized the first week was just warm up.
*****2 YEARS LATER*****
In a park, you could see two individuals sucking an ice cream each; one was a boy with silver hair, clear blue eyes, he was 1.1m tall and had a chain around his neck, he was wearing an elbow length white shirt with horizontal blue strips with black jeans and wore a white Nike tennis. By his side was a girl with dark moss green hair, dusky green eyes, stood at 0.98m; she was wearing a white sleeveless shirt and blue jeans and a black Heraddis tennis (I created my shoe brand). These two were Kazuya and Setsuna respectively. (How did they get here? Let's do a flashback)
----FLASHBACK----
2 years had passed since Kazuya started his training and he had improved drastically, he could run 20 laps round the Mitsui compound, he had mastered Taekwondo and karate though he hadn't won Sung in a match yet, he mastered the sword leaving him with only the gun and rod to learn, he increased the range of his quirk to 15m edging closer to his goal of 50m, all in all, his masters were proud with his progress and graced him with a day off, so he decided to spend it with his longtime friend.

Thus how they found themselves here today, Setsuna was happily sucking her ice cream while Kazuya sucked it normally with a calm and normal face, Setsuna noticed this and pouted as she complained "hey don't you ever have fun?" "I don't know what you're talking about" Kazuya played dumb which caused Setsuna to pout even more and Kazuya took this opportunity to pinch her cheeks, she shouted "HEY! Don't do that!" But her annoyance soon changed into joy as she saw Kazuya smile after such a long time, she also smiled at him as she said "yeah that's it" after a while she said "c'mon take me to the arcade" and dragged him as they headed to the arcade to play various games.
Kazuya was pretty confident in his skills when he entered but at the end of the day, Setsuna crushed that. She obliterated him in every game they played, he even tried betting and that was a bad idea as he left the arcade without enough money to pay for transportation, but he didn't lose hope.
When he saw a crane machine, he decided to try again and he said "one last game" he pointed at the crane machine, Setsuna sighed as she heard this, but Kazuya paid no heed to this as he continued "the winner has to pay the loser a meal" "deal" Setsuna happily nodded and they both went to the machine. Kazuya smiled as he said "ladies first" Setsuna was amused by this, she laughed and tried her luck but she was unable to get one stuffed toy, Kazuya smiled and headed to the machine but he remembered he was broke, Setsuna borrowed him some money as she said "you better not forget this" Kazuya nodded and entered the coin as he began moving the machine and to his surprise he was able to pull out a soft looking teddy bear.
Setsuna smiled when she saw this and said "congrats, you win" Kazuya was also happy that he won and then looked at the teddy bear and thought 'I don't need this' he looked at Setsuna and one sentence from Phillip's novel came to mind 'girls like you give them gifts' he didn't really understand this but he handed the teddy bear to Setsuna, she pointed at herself and asked "me?" Kazuya looked at her weirdly and asked "if there anyone else, beside you?" Setsuna laughed awkwardly as she took the gift and with a smile she said "thanks Kaz-chan" Kazuya smiled as he felt a good inside and he thought 'thanks Philip'. After that they did various things before each went their separate ways.
Kazuya soon arrived home and noticed his sister, Mitsuki in the living room, he smiled as he can't remember the last time he saw her, so he ran and hugged her. Mitsuki smiled when she saw Kazuya clinging onto her and she asked "you missed me?" "Un" Kazuya nodded, she petted his head as she continued "well worry no more, your sister will be more available from now on" Kazuya was very excited but he only showed her a smile and left her embrace as he headed to sleep.
As Kazuya fell into the night's embrace he had a dream and it was about his mother's death. In said dream he was reliving the experience and as he saw it he cried "why? Why mom, why did you have to die?" He was also crying as he couldn't stop his mother's death and soon a thought came to his mind 'if only I had more power' at that instance, all turned white and his mother appeared before him.
"Mom?" he asked clearly surprised to see his mother, she smiled at him and said "you've grown quite a lot, Kazu dear" Kazuya was left dumbfounded as he asked "if that you mom? But you died, I was there" she smiled and explained "yes I'm death, this is just a dream" her smile soon turned into a pained expression as she continued "you must have suffered after my death, I'm sorry dear" Kazuya smiled in between tears as he said "it was not your fault" Yuri smiled and they began talking about other things.
After a while, she said "it seems my time is up but before I go, I have a gift for you" with those words she kissed Kazuya onthe forehead as she began vanishing "take care Kazuya" Kazuya kept shouting "mom! Don't go mom, don't… leave me alone…" and he immediately woke up.
He noticed the tears running down his cheeks and he continued crying until he finally calmed down. After he had calmed down, he headed to the backyard and recalled the information that entered his head. He looked at the ground and snapped his fingers and immediately ground became leaving the ground, he had a pained expression when he saw this and he slowly muttered "so she gave me her quirk" he then looked at the skies and said "I'll try my best mom"
The following day, Kazuya resumed his training and everyone in the mansion noticed the difference, Kai looked at his son and with a pained expression said "I hope he'll be able to move on"
From that day, the smile of Kazuya Mitsui became the rarest thing…
(Flashback, Kazuya remembering Philip's book)
Philip was buying some goods in a shop when suddenly "achoo" he sneezed, the clerk asked "are you okay sir?" Philip nodded while he asked himself 'is someone thinking about me?'

Enz12_God Okay many may ask a question about the chapter. But I just want to say, this chapter talks about Kazuya's change and he becomes an expressionless guy because he hasn't accepted his mom's death yet so this fic is about him becoming better and accepting her death while finding the purpose behind his existence
