Chương 6: Role Alteration
There was no mistaking it. The woman before him had to be Hawks.
While Mirko stood behind, the other lady walked in. She had fiery blonde hair tied back into a loose ponytail, with a few stray strands hanging over her face.
Her golden eyes gleamed with mischief as she strolled casually toward him.
She wore a loose-fitting tank top and snug hot pants that left little to the imagination. She must have recently taken off her hero suit because she was covered in sweat. But Ren's attention was drawn to the large, feathery wings on her back, giving her a bold yet angelic look.
"Hey there," she playfully greeted. "You must be the guy Rumi's been fussing over."
"I was not!"
Mirko immediately retorted, but her flushed cheeks betrayed her words. To say she was distracted during the assignment would be an overstatement.
Luckily, Hawks had been there to cover for her, or the management bureau would have made a big deal out of her absentmindedness.
But how could she focus when her thoughts kept drifting back to Ren and what happened in the alley?
Mirko still didn't fully understand what had come over her back then. Even so, she couldn't shake Ren from her mind.
That's why she had asked Tsunagu to make sure he didn't leave. She wanted answers, but also wanted to have Ren. Not that she'd ever admit it to Ren. That would ruin her domineering image.
Meanwhile, Ren's brain had short-circuited. He wasn't just stunned by Hawks or Mirko's less-than-covered figures, but his mind was also reeling about.
"H-Hawks?" he stammered.
"Keiko Takami," she corrected with a smirk. "But yeah, people used to call me Hawks. I go by Osprey now. All that aside… I have heard a lot about you."
As she said that, Keiko's eyes wandered between Ren's legs. Mirko had always been steadfast in her way, never deviating. So much so that she had never paid attention to any man.
But Keiko's interest was piqued after hearing about Ren, who made Mirko unleash her instincts, that too in an alley of all places. She thought Ren must have a quirk that made it possible, but after researching him, she concluded Ren was indeed quirkless.
Even so… something is off about him. Otherwise, Rumi wouldn't lose her shit like she did.
Keiko wanted to know more about Ren, as she thought he was suspicious. That's why she dressed so provocatively. She had intended to make Ren do what he did to Mirko and catch him red-handed.
After all, she was much more sensitive than Mirko. If anyone tried to spike her or her emotions, she would know immediately. But so far, Ren had done nothing.
…it's frustrating that he is only looking at my wings. Maybe I should give him a better angle to look.
With that thought in mind, Keiko leaned in as if to get a better look at him. The movement brought her face close to his, and before Ren could process what was happening, he found himself staring directly at the generous valley of her cleavage.
The air resistance… must be big on those.
Heat rose to Ren's face, but his shock at seeing a female version of Hawks completely overrode any embarrassment. Much to Keiko's dismay, he couldn't even react properly to her unintended charm.
Is he really a passive pet, like Rumi said?
Keiko thought, carefully sizing him up. Mirko had made it clear she was the one in control of their encounter, but she didn't believe it. There was no way Mirko would act like a beast without external factors.
But after seeing how shy Ren was, Keiko realized maybe she was too suspicious of him for no reason. Besides, Ren had a face that made even her want to bully him.
Eventually, Keiko straightened up and extended her hand toward him.
"Nice to meet you, Ren," she said.
Her words jolted Ren back to reality. He quickly shook her hand, offering a nervous smile to Keiko's confident one. But as their hands touched, something clicked in his mind.
Skin-to-Skin contact. If I can corrupt her, then taking on Overhaul might get easier.
It didn't take long for him to act on his thoughts.

The system's interface, invisible to everyone but Ren, flickered faintly in his peripheral vision as Keiko's name appeared under Marked Targets. All the while, Ren maintained an innocent smile, as if nothing had happened.
"L-Likewise," he said.
"He's too cute!" Keiko exclaimed.
She was about to pull him into a hug, but Mirko jumped in between, separating the two.
"Ahem, you must be tired after the mission, Keiko," Mirko cleared her throat. "Why don't you go take some rest?"
"Not at all," Keiko pushed back. "I was thinking of spending some time with Ren and getting to know him better since it's my day off tomorrow—"
But Mirko wasn't backing down either. She knew the vixen called Osprey far too well to miss what she was thinking. After all the bragging Mirko had done earlier, she was sure Osprey would want a taste of Ren for herself.
But she won't let it happen.
Ren was the first man Mirko had gotten cozy with. She wanted him all for herself, even if Keiko and she were the best of friends.
"You can do it later!" Mirko said, pushing Keiko out of the room. "I'm sure Ren has a lot of questions to ask me first."
"You're no fun," Keiko pouted. "But I'm sure Ren knows how to have fun… don't you? Ok, ok, I'll leave. I'll see you later, shy boy!"
Mirko sighed after locking the door. But the next moment, her cheeks turned red when she realized she was alone with Ren in the room. Unlike her, Ren could only smile inwardly.
This was exactly where he wanted her. Closing the distance, he stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her from behind. He got too caught up with Hawks, no Osprey, to notice his favorite woman. Besides, now that they were alone, it was the perfect time for Ren to use his new skill.
His fingers brushed against her waist and Mirko's reflexes kicked in. She spun around, and the sudden movement caught Ren off-guard. Unable to maintain his balance, he fell to the floor. But he wasn't alone. Mirko was on top of him, her cheeks flushed as his hands rested on her waist.
Remembering what happened the last time they were in such a situation, Ren quickly used the [Role Alteration] ability. As soon as he did that, Mirko's eyes went blank, and the blush disappeared. But Ren couldn't see that, as her face was being blocked by a new interface.

Due to the target's low corruption, only certain alteration options relative to their behavior are available:
• Sugar Mommy: Affectionate, indulgent, and deeply nurturing. She spoils her love interest and enjoys taking care of them, often with a playful or slightly teasing tone.
• Sadistic Mommy: Playfully teasing and loves asserting control. She enjoys flustering her love interest and has a knack for making them squirm (in a good way).
• Protective Mommy: Fiercely protective and commanding, she makes her love interest feel safe and cared for while taking charge of every situation.
• Tsundere Mommy: Acts aloof or harsh on the surface but secretly cares deeply. She tries to hide her affection behind tough love, though her actions betray her soft side.
Note: These alterations will seem natural to the target and anyone around them. For more complex alterations, the user needs to keep corrupting the target.
The user can only make alterations once a week.
Warning: After a successful alteration, the target might feel heightened arousal.
