Taking care of children is hard enough when you're a parent. It's harder when you're a seventeen-year-old high schooler.

Lucy Hastings is the caretaker of five foster siblings -Seth, Serena, Derek, Oliver, and Ariel. The six of them have been together for years, under the love of their foster parents. When their foster mom passes away their foster dad needs to work more to make ends meet. The kids want to be a family, so Lucy steps up to take care of the kids.

Keeping everybody around her at arm's length, Lucy finds it difficult to hide her true self from new student, Wesley Reynolds. He seems to be everywhere, why can't she escape him?

Lucy has denied feelings of affection for anyone. She pushes away anyone who could care about her. What's she to do when she can't deny her growing feelings for Wesley Reynolds?
