Chương 6: Chapter 6: Realization

Warden POV

As I drifted off to sleep my thought started to remember the day. That was one of the best days I have had in this universe. I started to wake up I started to realize something was wrong with my emotions. I would have never said she was adorable out loud on the first meeting. I am not that blunt or that crafty I just hope she was embarrassed about muttering she did not catch that last part of my sentence. Why would I say that though in all the VR training simulations that I went through that had me communicate and blend in I never was that bold. What did the real world have different in it than the VR? Then It struck me like a bag of bricks emotions I could not feel the emotions of the virtual constructs in the training. My empath abilities must influence my mind more than I thought. I could have sworn that I was able to keep my emotions and others separated. Holy Crap! I almost forgot my biotic ability is tied to my emotions; if my emotions and others blend, I could be a walking time bomb. I am glad I caught this before I was in the field. Though I might be able to use this to my advantage I will have to ponder on it but for now, I think I will suppress my empathic abilities as much as I can when I wake. Weird that I have not awakened yet I know when on earth my brain was this active I was also moving around and wide awake. My eyes finally open and I see Shepard just about to shake me awake but, strangely, it is almost like she is moving extremely slowly.

"Wa-ke-up-War-den-brak-fast-is-in-the-mess-hall" Shepard states in slow motion.

"Whyareyoutalkingsoslowly?" I inquire as I yawn. Getting up to stretch I noticed that my body feel slower than usual but still faster than Shepard but slower. The last of the brain fog leaves my mind I realised I am thinking at my unrestrained brain speed. As I slow down my thought process back to the average level of everyone else around me I start to lose my grip on my newly ensnared empathic ability. Still, it only encompasses those in a 6-foot radius. I guess I can live with this for now but in battle, I will switch. I think nodding to myself with a smirk. Ok time for breakfast why is Shepard looking at me like she just saw a crazy person?

"Well are going to eat with me or have you already eaten?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.

"Not yet so do you know where you will be sleeping? I need to know so I can tell the others." She states shaking her head in disbelief.

"I think under the Mass effect core is a nice spot, though I will need to go shopping soon," I respond as I start to walk to the elevator.

"That should not be a problem as we will be stopping by the Citadel to get you an ID before going to Therum to talk to Liara T'Soni hopefully." She states following me to the elevator.

As we leave the elevator I ask Shepard why she was waking me up.

She responds, "Well I want to make sure you are fitting in as this is your first true day on the Normandy also to say that you can fight with Wrex but I will be setting it up."

"Wait! who is....fighting Wrex?" Tali said choking on her meal.

It is always interesting how Quarian eat with their bio suits on It looks like they hook up the packet of food to their helmet and suck in the nutrients from the packet. I wonder how their food tastes? Sadly I will never know as their food is dextro-protein like the Turians.

"Your new friend," Shepard responds with a sigh.

Tali rigidly turns to me, "Are you trying to die your human he's Krogan," She asks.

"Don't worry I will be careful I am a lot stronger than I look," I respond with a smirk.

As I sat down with my food Tali just sat there looking at me I wish I could see her face through that mask I bet she would look absolutely baffled at what I just said.

"So when do we get to the Citadel also it should not take Tali and me that much longer on my suit to have it ready," I state in a blunt almost bored manner.

"We should be arriving in an hour you should have enuff time there to get all the stuff you need," Shepard says.

As I use my omni tool to start writing a list of what I need I notice that I have a lot more credits. Ether Shepard paid me early or the facility I was at had more funds than I thought. This should allow me to live a very comfortable life for a very long time. Pulling up to the Citadel was amazing the game did not do it justice it massive looks about 28 miles long and in diameter with all the arms open 8 miles wide. We were flying in to dock I could see the lake ways they are beautiful a perfect blend between nature and man-made construction. Shepard and I disembarked so that I could get an ID and other necessities turns out that to get an ID is super simple just have a spectre with you and say your name I am now Warden Finch. All the other things I got were clothes and some emergency supplies I did not even get to leave the dock area all the supplies were right there. Turns out it is like an airport in that way got shops without ever leaving the docking area.
