Chương 37: The Wolf leaves the Earth
A few days after my 'little talk' with norex, I was now in a SHIELD base talking with Fury and Bucky.
"So you're following the aliens?" Fury asked, as he watched Carol blast some flying projectiles, outside the room we were currently in.
"That's the plan, although I'm not sure when I'll be coming back" I said, as I asked Bucky for a cup of juice next to him.
"And if you wanna know why, then it's just because I need a good challenge, and I wanna do some good for our alien friends" Leo explained, although the good will part was hard to believe.
"We'll need a way to contact your ass, just in case something comes up" Fury pointed out, as Bucky passed me the cup of juice.
"Yeah, if you have a device capable of alarming me when there's a problem" I said, already knowing Fury did.
"Yes actually, I'll go get it" Fury said, as he walked out of the room.
"Although I'll be absent, I'm sure SHIELD won't be lacking in manpower with you around" I told Bucky, making him nod his head in appreciation.
"And don't mind the crew, they're unusual, but experts at their job" I assured, referring to Zoe, Roy, Jack, and Pierce.
"I can handle them" Bucky replied, as Fury entered the room.
"The intergalactic transmitter... well that's what the nerds down at the lab call it, sounds hella corny though" Fury blurted out, as he handed me the transmitter.
"There are three copies of it, one is with me, you, and Bucky" Fury explained, as I examined the device.
"The one with me and Bucky are connected to the one with you, so the one Bucky has can't connect to mine, and mine can't connect to his, their only purpose is to signal the one with you" Fury continued to explain, as I pressed a button, which made the head of a wolf shine on the device.
"Cool" I said, as my phone rang, making me put the device down, and picking it up.
[It's done] Norex tired voice could be heard through the phone.
[Nice, I knew you were the best choice] I replied, making Norex grunt through the phone.
[Well I'm on my way] I assured him, as I cut the phone.
"Well it's that time" I said, as I stood up, Fury following after.
"How do you want to inform the enforcement division" Fury asked, as we walked out of the room, and into the hallway, Bucky silently following after.
"Tell em I died in action" I said, making Fury raise an eyebrow.
"Nobody knows I'm here at the moment, so it shouldn't be too hard to break the news to em" I said, as we got out of the building, where Carol could be seen throwing an object into the air, and shooting it with her energy blast.
"The fuck?, I'm supposed to tell an entire division that, their captain, whom annihilated Hydra in all of America, died in action... do you take them for fools?" Fury reasoned, as Carol stopped her training, and approached them.
"Well, I guess that might not work, but I'm sure you can find a solution" I smirked, as I walked towards my bike, Carol following behind.
"fucker" Fury cursed, as I started the motorcycle, which I stole from Bucky.
"Well adios amigos" I said, bidding my farewell, as Carol sat behind me.
"Untill we meet again" Carol said, as I drove off, but with my enhanced earing, I was able to hear Bucky mutter ' See ya boss'.
"Why aren't you flying" I asked Carol, as we drove into the road.
"I don't need to fly all the time" Carol replied, as she held my waist with force.
"If you don't easen up, you might actually kill me" I said, making Carol easen her hold on my waist.
"Nice excuse, I'll note this day down" I chuckled, making Carol tighten her hold.
...
"Oi Norex, your trusty friend has arrived" I thundered, as we entered the Skrull hideout.
"Over here" Norex called, making me and Carol walk towards his voice.
"I see you're in a unique condition" I said, as a lifeless looking Norex could be seen.
"I'll be fine, just come get it" Norex said, as he gestured towards a room.
As we walked into it, many inventions could be seen displayed around the room.
"You're quite the inventor" I said, as we walked deeper into the room.
"You can say that" Norex replied, as we stopped at a circular structure.
And with no warning, Norex tapped a yellow button, which made a hole appear on the circular structure, followed by the ascension of a gold dark blue gauntlet. (Image in paragraph comment)
"Dang, you did better than I thought" Leo praised Norex, as he picked up the gauntlet, which was surprisingly light.
"What about the spot I told you about" I asked Norex, as I put the gauntlet on my right hand.
"Just do what you need to do" Norex said, making me nod, and then pulling out a little black box, which I open, revealing the space stone.
Grabing the stone with my left, I slowly moved the stone to the top of the gauntlet, and without my help, the space stone dropped into the center of the wrist.
And as if the gauntlet had found life, it's normal blue shine, quickly burst into radiant royal blue, and for a few seconds, everyone in the room was blinded.
"Dang, I can feel that ulimited energy" I said, as I balled my fist and released it, it almost felt like my normal arm, but with a blue energy coursing through it.
After stabilizing myself, we walked out of the room.
"Let me test this baby out" I said, as I walked out of the hideout with Carol and Norex following after.
'So if I remeber right, the system said to just imagine'i thought, as I closed my eyes, my thoughts drifting to the Atlantic, and without warning, a blue light covered my body and I was now in the cold Atlantic.
"Cool..." I muttered as I looked around me, just to see nothing but snow and ice.
'Thanos version had a portal, but mine was basically instantaneous' I thought, as the image of the Skrull hideout popped onto my thouths, which in turn brought me back to a confused Norex, and an impressed Carol.
"So that works..." I said, as I thought of the main reason for making this a gauntlet.
'It's physical aspect' thinking of this I remembered my earlier thoughts on making it a necklace, but I scratched that idea, because it would be easy to snatch, and then my idea of making it a ring, but that idea was quickly thrown away, I quickly accepted the idea of making it a gauntlet, since Thanos didn't really use it to boost his physical aspects, and wielded the infinity gauntlet on his left, completely disregarding the stones more upfront aspects.
'From what I remember, the space stone can basically manipulate space/gravity and basically create black holes, using this general information, I'll explore the space stones unreached potential and show just how powerful this stone really is.' with that in mind, I walked back towards Norex and Carol.
...
We were now back in the hideout, and Talos was packing up his stuff.
After a few talks with Talos, we were ready to set off, right after Norex did the necessary repairs to the ship.
"So there are some survivors not so far from here?" I asked Talos, as we walked into the ship.
"Yes, we told them to wait for us there, when we were chasing the kree girl" Talos said.
"Her name is Carol Danvers" I corrected him, which he nodded to.
Amd as we were about to talk further, Carol arrived and landed.
"You ready?" I asked Carol, as I noticed the Jean jacket she had on.
"Yup, let's go end a war" Carol replied, as energetic as ever.
"Yah mean genocide" I corrected, which made Talos's eye twitch.
"Anyway let's go" I said, as we entered the ship.
I watched as Norex started the ship, and with a quick jolt,, the ship flew out of the earth and into outerspace.
This marks the start of an outerspace adventure
