Noah lay on the roof outside Gwen's window, watching her through the glass.
The bright moon hung in the sky, and inside, Gwen had just finished her shower and was drying her hair with a towel.
She brushed her damp blonde hair back and wrapped the towel around her head. Beneath her loose pajamas, her figure hinted at her growing beauty.
She moved gracefully to the edge of her bed, revealing her slim thighs as she sat down.
Her pajamas stretched slightly, outlining her exquisite form.
Gwen picked up her phone, the screen illuminating her freshly flushed face.
As she looked at her unanswered message, she pouted. "This stupid Noah, not replying to my message," she muttered, tapping the bed lightly with her small fist, as if venting her frustration on an imaginary target.
As if on cue, her phone chimed. A message from Noah.
"Sorry, I was busy earlier. I'm looking at my phone now. Please forgive me! (🥺)"
Seeing Noah's message, Gwen smiled softly without realizing it.
"Hmph! I'm already mad! (😠)" she typed back.
"Ah! It's sad that you won't be able to taste the dish that I learned from my father, unfortunately.. (😢)"
Gwen's face softened. "Fine... I guess I can forgive you this time. I'll try it. (🫣)"
"Yay! You're the best, Gwen! (❤️)"
Gwen rolled happily on the bed, her mood instantly lifted. Whenever she chatted with Noah, she felt joy bubbling inside her. Sometimes, she wished these moments could last forever. She hugged her quilt, her face blushing as thoughts of Noah filled her mind. Embarrassed, she buried her head in the covers, her bare feet kicking playfully in the air.
Meanwhile, Noah, lying on the roof, glanced at the stars, sending Gwen replies between gazing at the night sky. Under his mask, his face beamed with a sweet smile.
They continued chatting until Gwen eventually fell asleep. Noah, ensuring she was resting soundly, let the Venom symbiote separate from his body.
With his consciousness guiding it, the symbiote slipped through the crack in Gwen's window, silently creeping across the floor toward her bed. The symbiote climbed up, gently enveloping her hand as she slept peacefully.
After the symbiote's brief interaction, Noah pulled it back from Gwen's room and reabsorbed it into his arm.
As Gwen lay smiling in her sleep, blissfully unaware, she dreamed of a beautiful future—one where she and Noah were married, living happily together with twins who shared their love for food.
Noah, perched on a nearby rooftop, felt his powers surge. His mind buzzed with new abilities:
increased strength,
heightened agility,
danger-sensing instincts,
bioelectric adhesion,
and the power to blend into his surroundings like a chameleon.
But as these new strengths flooded him, Noah felt a mix of tenderness and guilt.
"So, it really is you, Gwen," he muttered, a bitter smile crossing his face. His mind replayed their fight from that night, and he suddenly felt foolish.
At the time, he had been so proud of himself, thinking he was doing the right thing. But now, he was just embarrassed.
He recalled the moment he had Gwen pinned against the wall, not realizing it was her. He groaned, covering his face, as the memory looped in his head, mocking him. He had tried to intimidate and even threaten her—how could he have been so blind?
"No... no, why did I do that?" Noah muttered, his hand pressing against his forehead, as if trying to erase the memory. But the images kept coming. Finally, after a long moment, he pulled out another calming potion, drinking it to steady his nerves. It was his second one that day.
As he calmed down, Noah began to think things through. "This is done now... I can only try to handle it the best way I can."
He sat on the edge of the building, legs dangling over the side as he hugged his knees, deep in thought. After a while, he smacked his head lightly, an idea forming. "Okay, that might work."
Now with a plan in mind, Noah decided to shift focus to testing his newly acquired abilities. He headed for a nearby construction site to try out his enhanced strength.
Noah first found a five-ton truck and tried to lift it with his strength. He managed it without much difficulty. He tested several other weights and eventually determined that his lifting capacity maxed out around eight tons.
A full-strength punch from him should be able to shatter a stone the size of a small car. If the stone were twice as large, he could probably crack it into several pieces.
(Just to clarify, the force of a punch is generally less than the strength needed to lift something. The power you exert when lifting is usually much greater than the force of a punch.)
Noah was pleased with these results. His physical fitness now seemed to be about five times that of Captain America, particularly in terms of strength.
Noah had many other abilities as well. Overall, he was now considered a very powerful superhero. It seemed that only the Hulk could surpass him in terms of physical fitness.
Next, he tested his speed and endurance. After running various tests, Noah concluded that his overall physical attributes had improved significantly.
His remaining new abilities included bioelectricity, stealth, and a spider-sense-like instinct. While he couldn't test the spider sense on his own, he could try out bioelectricity and stealth.
Noah returned to the bottom of a building. Placing his hands on the wall, he felt his body adjust. He then placed his feet on the wall and found that his entire body stuck to it with ease. He climbed upward, gradually getting used to this new ability.
With this skill, he could now walk on walls at any angle. He rarely climbed walls before because he would have to damage them to find a foothold. Now, it was much more convenient. He could run up walls like Spider-Man in the movies.
Next, he wanted to test his ghost stealth. Noah decided to experiment with it in a crowded place. This ability was perfect for stealth and even assassination, and Gwen had once used it to prevent Noah from detecting her. Had she not revealed herself, he might have missed her even after several passes.
Noah found a nightclub and positioned himself just above the door. Below him, young men and women were queuing to get inside. Several bodyguards in suits and sunglasses stood at the entrance. Noah activated his stealth and began descending slowly.
His reflection was absent from the window of the shop across the street, showing how perfectly he had blended into his surroundings.
By now, Noah had moved down behind one of the bodyguards, squatting on the wall. If he wanted, he could reach out and snap the bodyguard's neck. With quiet movements, no one would notice him, even if he stood right in front of them.
After completing the experiment, Noah quietly left the area. This was his first major power boost since acquiring the Venom symbiote.
Now, it was time to get familiar with these abilities in real combat.
