In the heart of the ocean, beneath what seemed like an ordinary island, lay a vast secret base. It was heavily guarded, and sporadic energy fluctuations added to its mystery.
Little did anyone suspect that this unassuming island housed Hydra's hidden stronghold, where numerous members of the organization congregated.
"Baron, our two missing operatives have been confirmed deceased. Upon investigation, we've discovered that New York's Morgan Biotechnology, under our influence, is now under the control of a woman named Medusa. She holds more than half of the company's shares," reported a man bearing a strange 'skull octopus tentacle' tattoo on his neck, kneeling respectfully in the dimly lit chamber.
Baron, obscured by his mask, remained hidden in the shadows, his features indistinguishable. His voice emanated from the darkness, deep and ominous. "Has there been any further action after seizing control of Morgan Biotechnology?"
"No, Baron. Our operatives refrained from probing deeper to avoid detection," replied the Hydra members on the ground, speaking deferentially.
"If the assailant were SHIELD, they would have pursued further actions after eliminating our operatives. This woman, Medusa, appears to be unaffiliated with SHIELD. Who else would dare to strike against us? Let's proceed..." Baron's voice trailed off, shrouded by his mask, as if he contemplated to himself.
"Baron, our sources have discovered that after assuming control of Morgan Biotechnology, Medusa utilized the company's military connections to investigate SHIELD, Hydra, and various other anomalies. However, her motives remain unclear," added a trusted confidant of Baron. This Hydra member had diligently investigated after losing contact with their contact within Morgan Biotechnology.
"Baron, considering the ruthless actions taken against our operatives, should we deploy Hydra warriors and confront them directly?" he proposed.
Noticing Baron's prolonged silence, his confidant spoke up while gesturing to his own neck, a subtle reminder of the danger they faced.
"The one who dared to strike against us will surely face consequences, but we mustn't act recklessly. It's clear that seizing control of Morgan Biotechnology wasn't a simple feat for them. SHIELD has been applying immense pressure on us lately. We need to exercise caution," the confidant advised.
"Yes, Baron," the kneeling Hydra member affirmed.
"Our experiments are at a crucial stage and must remain concealed. Regarding Morgan Biotechnology, continue the investigation and wait until we have all the details before making any moves," Baron instructed, his voice echoing in the darkness as he made his decision.
With a nod from his confidant, who swiftly departed, the room fell silent once more.
"Medusa... any foe who dares to defy Hydra will face our wrath and be reduced to ashes," Baron declared, his words sending shivers down the spine.
Following Baron's command, the forces of this Hydra faction sprung into action, initiating thorough investigations into Medusa's background through various channels.
However, Johnny and Medusa were not Earth natives; they hailed from distant Saka. Despite exhaustive efforts, Hydra agents found it challenging to unearth any information about Medusa's sudden appearance and control over Morgan Biotechnology.
Meanwhile, Johnny enjoyed the luxuries of life in a seaside villa in Manhattan, unaware of Hydra's watchful gaze upon him.
Even if Johnny were aware of Hydra's interest, he likely wouldn't be concerned. In fact, he might even welcome the attention.
Simultaneously, while Hydra delved into Medusa's background, their activities didn't escape the notice of the Strategic Homeland Defense Attack and Logistics Support Bureau, a clandestine organization with considerable influence.
SHIELD, has been locked in a longstanding battle against Hydra since its inception. Its primary objective is to safeguard national security and eradicate Hydra entirely.
"Director, we've got some promising news," Fury's deputy informed him, handing over a document at the SHIELD Tri-Wing Headquarters.
The document detailed SHIELD's investigation into Hydra's activities, including their clandestine probe into Morgan Biotechnology and Medusa.
After scanning through the document, a hint of skepticism flickered in Fury's lone eye.
"Has Hydra lost their minds? What are they playing at, making such bold moves now?" Fury muttered to himself, his expression growing grave.
While it was encouraging to uncover clues about Hydra, their sudden and aggressive actions left Fury puzzled and cautious.
"Director, what's our next move? Shall we take action?" Fury's deputy inquired tentatively, noticing Fury's contemplative demeanor.
"These individuals surfacing are just small fry within Hydra. Attacking them won't accomplish much. What I'm more interested in is why Hydra is fixated on Morgan Biotechnology and the person they're investigating in secret. Medusa, utilize SHIELD's resources. I want answers regarding Hydra's motives as soon as possible," Fury instructed after a moment of deliberation, opting to prioritize gathering intelligence over immediate confrontation.
Following Fury's orders, SHIELD mobilized its forces, mirroring Hydra's movements like a well-oiled machine.
For a period, both the formidable SHIELD and Hydra focused their attention on Morgan Biotechnology, under the covert control of Johnny.
Meanwhile, Johnny lounged at his beach villa, answering Medusa's call.
"Master, I've obtained information about Charles Francis Xavier, as per your request. I've extended an invitation to him, under my company's guise, to collaborate on the study of genetic variation. He'll be flying to New York in three days upon confirming," Medusa's magnetic voice conveyed, eliciting a smile from Johnny.
"Medusa, excellent work. When Charles arrives in New York, bring him directly to my villa," Johnny instructed with a grin, anticipating the forthcoming meeting with Charles.
