Chương 1: Earth Arc ideas chapter

So the earth arc can go in a ton of different ways and I wanted to lay them out in this chapter so people can give their thoughts on what they think would be cool or things that they definitely don't want to see.

Idea 1 (basic)

Join the Team fight bad guys. While this is a pretty basic and straightforward plot direction there is a ton of stuff that can happen to make it interesting and not a railroad with mc side commentary. Butterfly effect would feature heavily in this plot line as everything that the MC does will change things down the line.

Idea 2 (Secret agent man)

Stick to being an ethologist (animal behavior scientist) and study the animals of the earth while covertly combating / infiltrating the light.

Plot direction A: subvert the light by pretending to be a radical white martian looking to get revenge on the greens, more specifically J'onn, and goes to the light to get their help and to help them in turn. This plot direction would limit MC interaction with the hero side of the cast other than public appearance and differing POV. This would probably be the most difficult plot direction for me to go down due to the multitude of butterflies that would occur with the MC joining the light.

Plot direction B: Combat the light covertly by assuming multiple different personas and forms in order to remain anonymous and hinder their plans as much as possible (Mysterious benefactor trope). This one could be fun as there is a lot of possibilities for interaction with both sides of the cast both heroes and villains, however, I fear that it could turn a bit campy if I'm not careful. I don't want this to be a completely dark gloomy fic but I don't want it to turn goofy either.

these are just a few of the directions that the MC can go. I would love to hear any ideas any body has both for what direction his powers go in and other plot points
