"Yes. I'd like to know your whereabouts last night."

Que's heart dropped to her stomach which tightened.

"L..last night?" Her mind went blank. "I was in my room...no, the infirmary last night." Blast. Why is she stuttering?! She'll give herself away. Did the elder find out?

The elder kept quiet, her eyes focused on her. Her eyes told her she already knew the truth, so lying was pointless.

"All right." She said at last. She turned around and walked to the table were the tea set were kept, poured a cup sat down on the chair.

"Wants some?"

"I'm good." I'm not! This is bad, she should tell her the truth. But that also means testifying that she murdered those animals. She's not ready to face that yet.

Not only that but she'd also promised Medusa she'll keep this a secret between them. Not until she talk to the witch first, she wouldn't say anything.
