Lumma held a grudge, upset at being called a silly girl twice.
Adam chuckled. "If not a silly girl, what should I call you? Little smarty?"
Lumma was speechless.
Adam added, "You are smart, so you should believe in your capabilities. Hills Group doesn't carry any freeloaders. The fact that you've climbed to your current position with your own hard work is proof enough of how outstanding you are. Don't doubt yourself because of anyone, including me. Understand?"
"I understand." Adam was right. If Lumma didn't believe in her own abilities, she wouldn't have the audacity to ask these questions.
But his answer was once again unexpected. He never hesitated to praise his subordinates and affirm their abilities, a quality only a truly capable leader could possess.
