“We get back, Mark,” Quinn said softly.

“That’s what I said.”

“Of course.”

“They’ll need nourishment,” Max murmured.

“Hook ‘em up to an IV. And insert a Foley. They don’t get loose from those beds, not even to piss.”

“Bien s?r.” He sounded tired, but I couldn’t help that.

“What now, Mark?”

“Up to nine.” That was where the WBIS’s law department was situated. “We’ll get the legal stuff out of the way.”

“Just in case?”

I’d never had to worry about stuff like this before, but…“Yeah. Just in case.”

Abrahams, the Director of Shysters—okay, he was the head lawyer, had deigned to handle the details of my son’s name change and Quinn’s adoption of him. Abrahams actually seemed impressed when Quinn told him who would be representing him. It took two hours just to get it started, but finally he said, “We’ll take care of this.
