The carriage traveled peacefully, to the coachman's relief but his moment of joy did not last as the ground beneath started to shake. It was not as strong as a normal earthquake since only the surface that their vehicle was standing on was the only one shaking. Moreover, it wasn't also a mere stomping of a wild beast following them behind. There were no roars they could hear to be considered as such.
"Don't come down, mister coachman," Blair said as he jumped down from his seat.
Meanwhile, inside the carriage, they were suddenly alerted when they heard something had been broken from behind. Luna's eyes widened and quickly opened the window from her side and peeked her head outside. When she looked from behind, she saw a monster whose head looked like that of a beaver stuck in the middle of the wagon connected to the carriage.
It yelled because the shattered wood got stuck on its arm though it wasn't as loud as huge wild beasts with four arms.
