She tightened her grip, slowly choking the old woman who struggled and fought to free herself. Scratching, kicking, punching, but no matter what she did, a mortal like her didn't leave a mark. And so, the old woman resorted to taunting.

Right then, her body twitched as a loud snap came from her neck and she went limp.
Ming Yue let go, letting the dead woman drop to the floor. There was disgust all over her face when she looked down and she said nothing of it.
Stepping out of the room, she saw the so-called queen standing outside. The bottom of her feet were painted red from the pooling blood.
"You heard everything?"
She nodded and said nothing, still in shock.
"Right, let's get you cleaned up and bandage your wounds."
