Chapter 0.5: Prologue
Prologue, this takes place in the year 1200, might be a bit confusing. (The random soldier's name is Paco)
POV of random soldier of the Yuren empire:
"Soldiers, CHARGE!" A voice yelled, I looked over to my right to see the front line rushing out, I quickly followed behind, sword in hand. 'The Maho empire had somehow obtained sorcery, which they used to cause natural disasters, a few years ago we completely outclassed them and they barely held on, however now we are the ones on the back foot' I thought. I saw a giant tornado suck up hundreds of our soldiers, as well as giant trees sprouting out of the ground. I hear a rumbling below me as cracked forms,
I quickly dashed away looking for other soldiers to see only a few hundred remaining. 'Impossible... we started with over 40,000 soldiers and we're already down to a few hundred, it's only been a few hours' Soldiers screamed for help while being sucked into the floor, how did the Maho empire obtain such a power? 'I must find out for myself'
Narrator POV:
Paco rushed to the left, avoiding the sight of the soldiers of the Maho empire. He ran for 4 days straight, stopping to eat rations from his pack every 12 hours but never stopping to sleep. He eventually came across a giant, old crumbled coliseum. Paco limped inside, as soon as he entered he felt the air thicken, however he paid no attention to it.
He looked around and saw stone tablets in what looked to be an ancient language, he heard something behind him, quickly turning around he saw nothing. He turned back to the stone tablet, he opened his pack and pulled out an empty book and decide to write his last words, knowing he wouldn't be able to live for long. He sat down and tried to copy everything from the stone tablet onto the book, as well as writing his last words.
Paco felt a sharp pain in his stomach, looking down he saw a spear covered in a yellow aura through his stomach, he chuckled and quickly hid the book behind the stone tablet, as his eyes finally closed, forever.
