Chương 18: Looking for Gretta

Café Seeventh

The atmosphere of the café is bustling as usual, with the waiter who is the daughter of the cafe owner herself going back and forth, serving every busy visitor.

In the corner of the room, there was a table occupied by a young man, a table where he usually sat and for some reason became a table that was rarely occupied by other visitors.

Yes, as if it was written in his name, so that no visitors sit here, every time he comes to this café.

This time as usual, he sat accompanied by his mandatory equipment and also a cup of almost cold espresso, occasionally sipped but mostly occupied.

His eyes were glued to the laptop screen, he would glance in every direction every five minutes or immediately turn towards the door, when a clatter was heard and hoped that someone would be waiting for the door to open.

However, every time a clatter was heard, each time he had to swallow the bitter pill of disappointment, because it was not someone he was waiting for who appeared but other visitors.

"Huft ..., where is she," he whispered as he massaged the bridge of his own nose.

His heart wasn't calm when he didn't find the existence of the person he was waiting for, really.

Greck!

"Dizzy looking for Gretta huh?"

Eyes who were originally closed, stared straight ahead, as a young woman sat down after dragging a chair right in front of him. The woman he knows is Ayana, the daughter of the cafe owner.

"Hum," he mumbled as he looked away, afraid of being caught even if it was useless because it was already clearly printed.

"Looks like Gretta won't be here," said Ayana without turning her head and instead staring at the door, to be precise at the window outside.

"You know? Do you have her contact number?" he asked excitedly, his eyes even sparkled with joy and hoped that the answer he would receive was yes.

Ayana immediately turned to the man in front of her then put on a seductive smile, a smile with narrowed eyes and it made him put on a normal face aka a poker face.

"Heum…, what's going on, to ask for all kinds of contact numbers?" Ayana asked in a playful tone. Her brows were even on a tangle, teasing the man without bothering to hide her intentions.

This man didn't show any meaningful expression at all, even though in his heart he had cursed Ayana who was now giggling amused and looking at him with mocking glances.

"Hmm."

"Ceh! If you answer like that, how do you want me to share the number of a beautiful person," Ayana whined as she looked away and also crossed her arms, pretending to be annoyed.

She wanted to tease the young man in front of her and know how far he could go when she coaxed Gretta's number.

The answer was not immediately received by Ayana, she even took a small glance before finally smiling triumphantly, when the young man exhaled as if giving up.

Gotca..., Ayana thought happily.

"Okay, I did look for it. Satisfied, heum?" he explained flatly and sarcastically, but Ayana wasn't angry at all, she just laughed a little when she saw the blushing face of this nameless, handsome young man.

"Satisfied, satisfied. Ha-ha-ha..." Ayana said, nodding her head mocking the man who was snoring.

For a moment, the man let Ayana laugh happily in front of her and returned to her half-finished research. Until a paper was stretched towards him and Ayana's voice again teased him.

"Here!"

Sret!

"Eits! Wait a minute," continued Ayana, pulling the paper, when the man wanted to take the paper in her hand.

The man almost groaned in annoyance at the behavior of the woman in front of him. However, he tried his best to keep his expression casual and only grunts came out of him in the end.

"Especially?" he asked himself embarrassed.

"Say your name first. Do you want me to call you Mr. Anonymous customer every day, heum?" replied Ayana with a sneer, while fanning the paper with Gretta's private number in it.

Another snort escaped from the man, then he reluctantly said the name while forcibly took the paper from Ayana's hand, who could only open her mouth in amazement.

"Alrescha, satisfied!"

Grip!

"Come here," he continued, then smiled after the paper was in his hand.

Ayana who still opened her mouth looked at Alrescha with her eyelids blinking rapidly. Before finally shaking her head, trying to wake herself up.

Gils, how fast he moves, she thought in amazement.

"Your movements are fast too, Mr. Alres-

" Al is tall enough and I'm not that tall to be called 'Master', Aya," Alrescha interrupted quickly and Ayana blinked again, before finally chuckling while nodding her head in understanding.

"Ah! Alright, Al right?" Ayana said "Then don't forget to call if you miss it," she continued when Alrescha nodded confirming her answer.

"Hey! Who else misses it!" Denied Alrescha with a thin red brush on her cheek, until Ayana who saw it laughed again.

"It's you! It's obvious, you know it or not," said Ayana jokingly as she got up from her seat "Ah! I'm back to work," she continued, then left Alrescha who was squeaking when Ayana gave him a mocking glance.

"Damn, I just looked awkward," Alrescha cursed angrily.

After Ayana left, Alrescha looked back at the piece of paper in his hand then smiled a little. He quickly took out his cellphone and typed the number written on the paper on the keypad.

However, his index finger stopped when he was about to press the call button, as if his burning courage was lost when he was confused about what to say when the call was received

Tsk! That's right, what shall I say later? When I asked what I was doing, why didn't I go to the cafe all of a sudden. Really, how close are we? Ah…, you stupid Al.

Arlescha could only curse his carelessness in his heart, then stop wanting to contact Gretta at this time. Paperbriefcase and the number on the screen he saved immediately.

Now, Gretta's name is neatly stored in the ranks of important contacts. He smiled slightly inwardly and decided to call the girl after he got home from here.

"I'd better get off to work and get home early," he decided and then focused on his laptop screen, heeding the noises of the crowd around him or the glares of the young female customers teasing him.

He would only respond to a teasing glance if it was from the blue-eyed girl currently in his house.

Gretta…

A few moments later…

As he had planned, when he came home from the café he would call a girl named Gretta. Alrescha now rushed into his room, heeding the call from his brother who was sitting in the living room.

Stupid, he thought. The reason is, his brother always comes home late at night and now it's only seven o'clock at night.

"Oy, Al! Come with me first!"

"Sorry, Aniki (Brother). I have something to do!"

And the banging of the door was what was heard, before finally Alrescha entered his room and locked it tightly, leaving his brother staring at the door confused.

"What's the matter with him?" muttered his brother confused.

In his room, Alrescha without wasting time immediately took his cellphone and went out to the balcony, then exhaled repeatedly.

He convinced himself and finally pressed the call button on Gretta's contact number right away.
