The 1st Prince of the Elves kingdom suddenly show up and force Varest to follow him. Of course he refused. Varest really want to fight back against him. But he can't.

Varest don't know Gandalf what kind of person he is. A fight it will only bring bad impact for himself. He must maintain his image, for the sake to protect his master.

He tried, "I apologize that I have to disappointed you, Your Highness. I absolutely can not go from this place."

Still took a initiative to stay here. Gandalf slapped him, the entire hallway fills with sound of his slap sound. The slap leave a scars behind.

"How dare you disobey me. You want to get our trust. But you're acting like this."

Varest replied, "I truly apologize, Your Majesty. I cannot accept your order."

There is no thing that can be done. Currently hearing his scolding, is probably the best way. Varest really want to defend yourself. Don't want to be humiliated.
