Uchiha Setsuna was deliberately getting entangled and engaging in a war of words with Sarutobi Hiruzen, talking about this and that, and after a long time, they got to the point.
"Lord Hokage, I only asked Shimura Danzo to remove the bandages on his body. This is not against the rules."
"Shimura Danzo is the head of the Root. I can't force him without solid evidence."
Sarutobi Hiruzen then added "I am doing this for everyone's sake. We simply cannot uphold such behavior. Let's just say that someone accused me of something similar and asked me to take off my clothes in front of everyone, as the Hokage of this village, should I just take them off without question?"
The head of the Shimura clan eagerly chimed in "Elder Setsuna, everyone understands your feelings and frustrations, but as the Hokage said, the evidence must be produced first, especially with that level of allegations!"
"Evidence?" Setsuna sneered and said sarcastically "Shimura Danzo stole our family's bloodline limit. He's guilty of this! It clearly shows when you, as the Hokage, keep on speaking for him!"
The other clan leaders were not fools, they also saw how Sarutobi Hiruzen favored Danzo's side throughout the entire talk. At first, this is not the case. But as the conversation went on, as more accusations happened, it slowly turned to how it is currently.
This shows that the accusation has some weight in it. And if it turns out to be true... some people's eyes became subtle just by simply thinking about it.
At the same time, Sarutobi's eyes furrowed, and then spoke with a pretty loud tone "It has been nearly 40 years since I became the Hokage. I have treated everyone in the village equally and have never been partial to anyone! To accuse me of such..."
"Lord Hokage, that's not what Elder Setsuna meant." Uchiha Fugaku stepped forward to smooth things over, saying, "Shisui is a proud member of our clan . Elder Setsuna has always regarded Shisui as his junior."
"Now that Shisui is dead and his body cannot be found, Elder Setsuna is extremely worried. I hope you can understand."
Hearing this, Kayne couldn't help but shake his head internally. Thanks to Fugaku, not only the conversation was diverted to other useless matters, but their initial momentum was now out of the picture as well.
"Fugaku!" Uchiha Setsuna was shaking with anger.
"Elder Setsuna, I know exactly what I am doing!" Fugaku said with a strong tone. And without even waiting for a response, he then faces Hiruzen
"Hokage-sama, we simply ask the village to help us search for Shisui's body and find out the truth about Shisui's death."
Sarutobi Hiruzen paused for a second, looking deep in thought. Then, after a couple of seconds, he opened his mouth and spoke in a clear voice "Shisui is not only a ninja of the Uchiha clan, but also a ninja of Konoha. So, I will promise that within half a month, I will give him and your clan the justice that it needs."
"Half a month..." Kayn's eyes flickered. "The night of slaughter has been successfully postponed, but everything that comes out of that mouth is not to be trusted."
Sarutobi Hiruzen is an old man who doesn't give in that easily. He appears to be good-natured in the anime, but as time goes on, his hypocritical personality is slowly uncovered.
Kayn covered his mouth once again and whispered "Elder Setsuna, you can agree to it first. Our plan also needs time to prepare as well."
Uchiha Setsuna now has great trust in Kayn. He nodded slightly, then he turned his gaze to Kakashi.
No, it was probably the eyes hidden beneath that mask. His left eye, which used to be Uchiha Obito's eye...
This matter is originally deemed as the clan's carelessness, so he really can't ask him to give it back. That's how it is supposedly. However, this is an emergency situation. Once the family really goes to war with the village, that eye will be of great help.
Nowadays, even people with Uchiha on their names can be deemed unreliable. So they can't risk themselves by taking unpredictable chances.
The safety of the clan is more important than anything else!
"Fine, we'll agree to what you said." Uchiha Setsuna said, then swiftly changed the subject "However, before the matter is investigated thoroughly, we would like to take back Uchiha Obito's Sharingan."
Kayn's pupils dilated. He didn't expect Elder Setsuna to ask for Kakashi's Sharingan.
That's a Sharingan that evolved into a Mangekyo! That will be a huge help in regards to their plans. However...
Kayn thought about it for a moment and felt that the possibility for such a thing to happen was too low.
For Kakashi, it was an important link to his past. And as a man who always dwells on the past, he is unlikely to agree.
Besides, even though it can be a really huge help, Kayn had no interest in it.
Obito's Kamui is indeed powerful. Obtaining it, in regards to the firepower it brings, will be good in every way.
However, Kayn doesn't have a good relationship with Obito, unlike Kakashi. The outcome of transplanting that Eye to him will most likely lead to his death. The cause would be the obvious reason.
He let out a breath, stopped worrying about this issue, and continued to secretly observe Sarutobi Hiruzen.
Sarutobi on the other hand frowned slightly "I can't decide this for Kakashi."
He believed that Kakashi would not agree. Just like what Kayn thought to himself, this eye has a special meaning to Kakashi.
Both for his past, and his current status as a Shinobi.
"Kakashi, I can't agree to this." Guy stood on the side of his friend and said anxiously "If you return it, your left eye will be completely blind in the future!"
Listening to Guy, Kakashi raised his hand and gently brushed across his left eye. The scar on it made him feel dazed.
Dust-covered memories emerged before his eyes, and what happened that day was still vivid in his mind.
"Obito, Rin..."
The Uchiha clan is on the brink of rebellion.
And when that time actually came, as the village's ninja, he had to fight them to protect Konoha.
But his left eye came from Obito, so it is difficult for him to attack Obito's family.
He has been living in regret for these past years.
"Perhaps, returning Obito's eyes to the Uchiha clan is a good choice." Kakashi thought to himself.
While this was happening, probably noticing what Kakashi was thinking, Setsuna's voice resounded
"Hatake Kakashi, we will only take the eye temporarily. We will return it to you after the investigation is complete."
Since Uchiha Obito himself decided to give the eye to Kakashi at that time, he would not forcibly withhold the eye if the clan could survive this crisis.
But if the family is unfortunately defeated, then it's only right that this eye should also disappear along with the name of the Uchiha clan!
Kakashi put down his mask, covered his left eye, and said calmly "Elder Setsuna, please arrange a transplant for me."
"Kakashi!" Guy showed an anxious expression
"Guy, this is my decision."

There was a gloomy look in Sarutobi Hiruzen's eyes.
From his point of view, he was unwilling to let Kakashi return the eye.
He genuinely thought Kakashi would refuse, but unexpectedly he chose to agree.
Sarutobi Hiruzen said gently "Elder Setsuna, Kakashi has already agreed to your terms, so isn't it time for us to end this debate already?"
