They thought by whispering to each other like that, Jaxon wouldn't be able to hear them, but in reality, he could still hear them quite clearly.

And his brother, how could he badmouth his own brother with that human girl? Couldn't this be counted as a betrayal?

Jaxon was not able to hold back any longer now when he heard their conversation. "Be quiet, the two of you." He threw both of them a dagger look to make them stop, but they only talked in even smaller voices, thinking he couldn't hear them. "I can hear that."

These two were really giving him a headache. They were birds of the same feather.
