Chương 2: 2. THE BIGGEST DEAL

Every success has a story behind it .. stories none cares to know.. but, I am going to tell you guys my part of side.I belonged to a normal American middle-class family and By now I knew what exactly I wanted to be. I surfed on the internet about online auditions I got few too but I was not even a teenager yet. I decided to tell my parents about my dream to become a kpop star . I was moving with confidence to my parents .A lot of confidence . When I finally told them my mom went like "Do u even know what you're thinking about !I would want u to focus on your studies now then u think about all those rubbish stuff " she said . My dad nodded in agreement. I was disappointed of why my parents did not support my dream . I went into a lot of sadness . I quit Instagram, and watsap.. cut contacts with a lot of my friends . I had somewhat stopped talking to my parents after the incident . My mom and dad noticed this.One day they came in my room .They asked me of what had happened to me . To their surprise it was because they rejected my dream . They used all kinds of briberies like " dear we will send u to the top colleges, we will give u a big phone ( bigger than what I had)"but all this seemed of no interest to me. I could see by the expression on their faces that they were now becoming more anxious. I consoled them by saying I was just fine . They instantly knew I was lying . Since childhood they have been seeing me they know every small detail about me and also that I couldn't lie . My dad then asked me if I was throwing these tantrums because they had rejected my kpop desire and I couldn't say anything other than a YES. They were dumbfounded for two minutes not knowing what to say . My mom broke out " you kid you haven't seen the world more than us , you are !" . I couldn't have taken it anymore and all the frustration poured out like lava " I thought you guys would've suported me , I expected it from you guys But you!! you just rejected my dreams . How could you mom? and you dad ! . My eyes slowly started to become teary . " I want to become a kpop idol and that's final . If you guys want to support than please do and if you don't at least please don't discourage me " I had started to cry by now . My mom and dad whispered something to each other and then mom spoke up " Ok we'll let you persue your dreams " . I was so happy that finally there's gonna be no more obstacles . " On one condition" she said . I could have gone to any extents and conditions for this moment and I said yes without asking what the condition was! " That you're not going to compromise with your studies and you're gonna wait until you become 18. Do you agree to these terms? " she asked curiously. What more could I say other than a YES. I made myself starve to look like one of the idols ,in front of those crazy things , the conditions which she proposed to me were nothing . That day I moved a step ahead to reaching my dream ..Now all that was left was to wait untill I turned eighteen .I promised myself I from this day would study so studiously and little part of my naughtiness hinted that I wouldn't leave a kpop golden opportunity if I got one before eighteen..
