100% Isekai’d as a Dungeon Core, Really? / Chapter 3: Development

Chương 3: Development

'Now what?' I thought as I waited for prey to enter my dungeon and get beaten up by my group of 10 goblins. Surely I won't have to wait as long as it took for it to load, right?

The goblins are technically fine but they have no life in their eyes and also they don't move or even sway unless I tell them to. They are quite boring to look at to be honest, so let's change that.

I then said "Pair up and start sparring and also make sure you don't hurt your partner too badly and don't kill them." With that they began mindlessly hitting their partner with no skill whatsoever which was very disappointing.

I was about to try some more things when I hear the ding of a window that read, [Starting Kit ready, can increase any stat permanently for a monster species. Total: 10] 'Is this my only cheat' I thought to myself.

I then said "status:Goblin" to check what I could put them to.

============================

Species: Goblin

Hp: 20

Str:5

Mag:0

Int:1

============================

Exactly like a game, now what show I add the points to. A normal person would equal divide them and crazy people would probably put them all in magic or maybe even strength which would be a good start.

However I am smarter that the average man so I will put them all into the best stat, intelligence causes to put it frankly, they're dumb. If I make them smarter they could learn how to battle and strategize.

With my mind set I used them all to increase intelligence and looked at them eager to see results. They were still sparing and at first they acted the same but suddenly they all stopped at the same time and looked very confused.

Once whatever happened subsided they went back to sparring again full of vigor with amazingly improved results. Instead of only clawing at each other they started using their arms to block and dodge attacks.

They would also punch and sometimes kick their partner while being careful not to seriously hurt them. It was like a lightbulb went off in their heads which is thanks to my amazing choice of putting the points to good use.

[Due to excessive use of muscles and cognitive functions Str and Int are raised by 1]

I know I'm amazing but I just wish that I had someone to tell me that. They may be smarter but they unfortunately still can't talk so I still feel a little lonely. However at least I have something to watch, now that they are intelligent they are pretty interesting to observe.

•••

It has been about a month now but not a single creature or person has entered my dungeon yet. I can only stay hopeful that some day a unlucky person will find their way her and pitifully fail at challenging my dungeon.

A lot of things have changed since I started managing this place. The first thing that has changed was the layout of the dungeon itself. It still only has one entrance and one room for the core but in between the two is completely different.

There are easily around 100 different pathways that twist and intersect each other. It can be difficult for outsiders to navigate by that is not the main reason I made them. The real reason is that it is easy to get ambushed from any detection and also a corridor is the cheapest thing to make.

I have learned that once a weak has passed I get a certain number of DP which I have used for a variety of things. Main it was used for the corridors but it has also been used on the goblins and the newly added slimes. Along with using it to upgrade their stats.

However I would have to say that most of their stat increases weren't artificially added by me but instead was due to their hard work that they put into training. Honestly I didn't suspect that they would get as strong as they have this quickly.

I currently have made 22 goblins and 9 slimes which is all I have in terms of defense as I have spent no expenses on any sort of trap and instead will rely on my ambushing strategy and the abilities of my monsters

Also here are their stat averages.

============================

Species: Goblin

Hp: 30

Str:12

Mag:0

Int: 35

============================

The goblins now interact with each other showing decent intelligence I also equipped each of them with a simple iron dagger for dealing with foes. They have yet to learn any sort of swordsmanship skill which is a unfortunate surprised me.

============================

Species: Slime

Hp: 1

Str:2

Mag: 5

Int: 64

Skill: Expanding Mind

============================

The slimes are basically a fragile water balloon that die with one poke of a dagger which I learned from a slime being a noble sacrifice. Also their skill basically lets me get +2 Int instead of 1 Int per status upgrade.

I also learned that their are 3 types of slimes that can appear based on their level. The first is the one I have that is basically a balloon, which is the weakest of the 3. The second has a body of slime that can move any which way but has a baseball sized core making it still have 1 Hp.

The last one is the strongest as it has a body of slime like the first second one but doesn't have a core being the first slime type to have more than 1 Hp. Currently the only way I can think of killing it would be to burn it alive but I'm sure their are other ways.

At first I was excited to see that they had magic but when I told I'm one of them to use it instead of a water slash or something like that it just threw a small ball of slime a few meters away. The only redeeming quality was that they had scary accurate aim.

I have been training both of them not only individually but Also to work together and I also told them to memorize all the pathways. I have also taught them how to effectively ambush prey.

I wonder exactly how much they understand me along with the amount of free will they have. It's unfair that they understand me but I don't understand them soon the goblins have to be intelligent enough to start developing some sort of speech, I'd even be ok if it was just grunts and growls.

The slimes are smart enough to actually have a language for themselves but it isn't the type you would think of. They don't communicate by sound but instead by touch, I tried to understand what they were saying using my power to interpret the message but it didn't work.

Instead of hearing words I heard Avery loud and annoying screeching noise. If I had to describe it, it was like someone tried to make a essay long binary code into a single noise. So they are talking in some sort of language, but it was simply to fast for me to understand.

As I was about to go and train all my monsters I suddenly got a message [The following conditions have been met-1:The dungeon core must be as intelligent as a human. 2: all monsters must be focused in / have the highest stat be in intelligence. 3: Said monsters must have intelligence that rivals a human.]

[Do you wish to go through the first of its kind, unknown rank dungeon evolution to type/title: The Dungeon with Humanity. Yes/No] Well that's a unusual surprise, evolving before I even get my first visitor. Before I say yes I better look at what exactly it is in the first place. I then asked for it to show what my evolution does.

============================

Dungeon Type: The Dungeon with Humanity

Rank: Unclassified

Pros: If this type is selected all dungeon monsters will automatically have human intelligence. They also will be allowed to move around outside the dungeon with no restrictions. Along with being able to naturally procreate and also all monsters will eventually be given a human like form. At a higher level you can toggle these options.

The dungeon core will be able to translate any language and monsters that have no language will automatically gain one. The dungeon core will also be classified as a living organism instead of being a magical object.

Cons: All dungeon monster will require more high maintenance as they will act more like natural monsters. They will still be obedient but will require food, water and sleep.

============================

Based on what I just read the pros easily overweigh the cons, if anything the cons are a good thing as they will be more human. The pros are amazing I can finally understand what they are saying and maybe even have a conversation with them.

With that I pressed yes and waited to se the effects.
