Chương 40: New Mission

"It's starting," a soft voice said as emerald eyes glistened, watching the integration of Chaos Universe into another universe. He'd seen this scene countless times before, but this time would be different.

Their lives were on the line. This is the last chance.

"Everything will be fine," someone held his hand, which had been unknowingly clenched into a fist. "He'll be with us soon," the playful tone had vanished, and his voice sounded solemn. His tone was more hopeful, with reassuring words to try to convince himself.

The pretty blonde smiled, his fingers intertwined with the other. "Says the one who rejected this plan from the beginning?" he teased softly, laughing when the other snorted.

He couldn't be pessimistic because, as he said, everything would work out as planned in the end.

"I still despise it... but do I really have a choice?"
