With one step, Hiram sat down on the sofa. Across the long tea table, he forcefully pushed the cup of tea towards her, and like a well-calculated move, the cup stopped steadily at the edge of the table near her.

"All I have is tea here, drink as you please."

The Seymore girl picked up the tea and said to him, "Thank you."

"Don't bother with the pleasantries, aren't we here to talk? Speak your mind." Hiram was utterly impatient. In his temperamental nature, the little patience he had was reserved for his sister and...his older sister.
