"Mr. Bailey, that car on the right is getting close."
"Mr. Bailey, be careful, Mr. Bailey..."
'BOOM-'
A loud explosion tore through the sky.
Lola Hussey's body jolted with the sound of the explosion.
For a moment, she thought she was a goner.
Two cars had collided. She didn't know who was involved, but at least it wasn't their car.
Her phone was still booting up. She took her eyes off the screen to look out of the window and into the rear-view mirror.
Thick smoke billowed from the scene of the accident, but behind their car, several others gave chase, relentlessly closing in with a seemingly invincible momentum.
The phone in her hand suddenly vibrated, indicating it had restarted.
Lola looked at the screen.
In such a short time, she had missed dozens of calls - from her father, her third and fourth brothers, Elijah, and even Ethan Ainsley.
"Mr. Bailey, be careful!"
"Mr. Bailey! Mr. Bailey!"
"Mr. Bailey, there's a car coming at us, Mr. Bailey!!"
"Mr. Bailey..."
