Lola Hussey looked at the buildings and trees retreating outside the window, her panic slowly subsiding.
But at this moment, a loud noise came.
'Bang-'
The inertial force from the impact made Lola suddenly lunge forward, but thankfully, the seatbelt tightly restrained her. She was pulled back, feeling as if she'd been jolted violently, and her vision momentarily blacked out.
"Mr. Bailey, we've been rear-ended," the driver said urgently after recovering.
Hiram Bailey wasn't too affected. The car had suddenly charged over without any signs of tailing them, so he hadn't been prepared, resulting in the sudden collision.
With a cold smirk, he said, "Those fearless bastards, daring to be so arrogant on my turf."
Glancing at the rearview mirror, he saw Lola's pale face and reassured her, "Don't be afraid, sit tight."
Lola's face was pale, her hands tightly gripping the seatbelt in front of her.
Hiram Bailey stepped on the gas, accelerating the car rapidly.
