Lola Hussey just said it casually.
Who would have expected Ethan Ainsley's face to suddenly change, his voice colder, as he asked her, "You want to forget me?"
"No, no, no, no, not at all." She quickly shook her head in denial, frightened by Ethan's expression.
She really hadn't thought that way, and the words were just casually spoken.
But the casual remark seemed to have actually angered Ethan, so Lola hurriedly placated him: "I shouldn't have said that just now. How could I possibly forget you? Even if I forget someone, I could never forget you. I like you the most."
Ethan gave a sneer: "Little mouth smeared with honey?"
"Not at all. My mouth is naturally sweet. Don't believe me? Taste it?" Lola leaned her face towards him.
As a result, Ethan Ainsley pushed her away with an air of disdain: "Don't give me that."
"My mouth is clumsy, and besides, I'm recovering my memory, not losing it again. How could I forget?"
