It was hard to imagine that she had been holding out against Fitzroy Sullivan for so long. She deliberately stalled for time, trying to give Ethan Ainsley a chance to save her; as long as she didn't leave this place...
Now her mouth was sealed, and Lola Hussey couldn't speak. She could only glare at Fitzroy with a fierce gaze.
Fitzroy probably didn't care, letting her glare at him as much as she wanted; it wouldn't cost him anything.

Lola was carried out of the room horizontally in Fitzroy's arms.
It was a building, all right, but it wasn't actually as tall as Lola had imagined. After stepping out, there were only two floors below, and a vast open space stretched before her.
But...
Lola also realized that this small building was built on the edge of a high cliff, no wonder her bedroom window seemed so high when looking down...
"Mmm...mmm..."
Lola made anxious noises.
