Ethan Ainsley reached out and patted his son's head: "Where is mom, do you want to go see her?"
Pow Ainsley hesitated, only saying: "Mom is really busy. Dad said not to disturb her while she's working."
That was indeed what Ethan had taught Pow: not to disturb mom while she's working, not to clamor for mom, and not to bother her.
"Today is fine, Dad will take you." Ethan said.
Pow's eyes sparkled with excitement as he blinked and asked, "Really, Dad? Are you really going to take me to see Mom?"
Ethan: "Really."
Pow gave a little nod, trying to seem nonchalant, but inside, his heart was blooming with sunflowers of happiness.
Although he wasn't close with his mom and had only seen her a few times, he still missed her.
Other kids always had their moms pick them up after school, but he only had his dad or uncle, sometimes even grandparents, his maternal grandparents picked him up more often than his mom did.
