Chương 74: The Glory of ATOMIC!
Cassius, pleased with the domineering power of the Atomic stat and this Skill, raised Lilith to a zenith point, with the violet energy pulsating off her increasing accordingly.
A cold gleam flashed past his icy blue pupils as he glared at the squirming draconic behemoth.
"I truly have nothing against you, big worm," said Cassius, his tone void of emotion. "But you tried to eat me first."
His voice suddenly dropped by a few dozen degrees, with each word coming out staticky and dispersed, almost like a broken tape recorder. "I…
OOOM!!!
The atmosphere exploded with a stupendous level of purple Atomic energy. The originally short-ranged streaks zoomed through the skies for thousands of feet. Soon, the entire sunny desert above the Tyrant King became shadowed by cryptic purple streaks, all seemingly disorderly placed yet connecting together in inexplicable ways.
Cassius's voice reached an entirely new depth, resonating like a frigid abyss. "AM…!!!"
"!!!!"
Suddenly feeling an imminent threat to its life, the Tyrant King desperately called for its tens of thousands of subordinates to charge the human. Yet, when it glanced at them, it realized they were in no better condition than it was. Some of the weaker Sand Devourers had even been squashed to death, despite not being the targets of the gravitational pressure!
The Tyrant King understood that it was alone in this endeavor, prompting it to burn through its life force and forcefully escape the shackles that pinned it to the ground. Yet, even as it bled through every pore in an attempt to stand up and devour the human, impending doom had already progressed too far for resistance to be an option…
Cassius's comparatively tiny figure blasted forth with a boundless amount of cryptic purple energy, causing his image to somehow dwarf the colossal Boss Monster kneeling before his might.
With a cold side-eye, he looked down upon the utterly enraged, crown-wearing Tyrant King. His mouth soundlessly moved, the absurdly crisp words coming out only after the damage had already been dealt.
"I AM…—"
"ATOMIC!!!"
WHAZOOOOOM!!!
Those three words marked the beginning of the end, and as seen from the horror-filled dilated pupils of the Tyrant King, an incredibly bright burst of purple light flashed.
Then it saw nothing else, for it had already… died.
Even with its B+ 'Ultra Regeneration' Skill, nothing could heal something that was instantly evaporated from this plane of existence. There was no longer anything left to heal.
The other Sand Devourers, faring no better than their King, saw their lives flash before their eyes in shadows of purple and red. Then they, too, succumbed to the whims of destiny.
For nearly two miles in all directions, a dazzling, profound violet sphere enveloped and lingered.
For the ten seconds the sphere remained, razing the surroundings, the Sand Devourers dozens of miles away saw and felt the shockwaves. The Tyrant God, expressing a different kind of reaction, narrowed its oddly intelligent eyes as it sensed the lifeforce of the Tyrant King go cold. Moreover, all the other Sand Devourers, including the five Sand Devourer Lords, had perished in the blast.
This was perplexing for the Tyrant God… Somehow, a weak human without an ounce of aura had exhibited a degree of strength at that level. It was truly inexplicable…
Meanwhile, back at the explosion's radius.
Cassius eloquently descended to the charred ground like an unearthly swan. However, contrary to his strong poise, his complexion was ashen. All of his energy, including his stamina and mana, had been drained to the very bottom of the barrel. Only enough mana to keep him conscious was left.
"I AM ATOMIC," Cassius said as if recalling the power he felt coursing through him while activating that Skill. "It was incredible…"
Yet, even with the Skill persistently floating around in his thoughts, he was a long way from thinking about using it again. Or rather, that would normally have been the case. But with the help of the Idle Evolution System…

Cassius visibly watched his stats skyrocket, with several waves of power washing through his body in consecutive motion. Along with the improvements in strength came the option for Full Status Recovery. And as he had dozens of them stacked up, he spared no hesitation in using one to restore himself to peak status.
"Ooh, that feels good…"
Previously, Cassius had mostly experienced pain while using Status Recovery, but this time was different; it was almost euphoric to experience a Status Recovery.
After a moment of relishing the feeling, Cassius observed his surroundings and realized that he might have gone a little teensie bit overboard…
Although the extent of the damage was nowhere near that of a genuine Atomic Bomb, as he was far too weak to replicate something of that scale, it was still enough to level a large village.
Of course, this display of power would normally cost him everything and thus couldn't be used more than once. If not for the Status Recoveries, he would likely have been left vulnerable enough for even a basic Sand Devourer to devour him with little to no resistance.
"Good thing that isn't the case; again, the system—" Just as Cassius was about to compliment the system, as if embarrassed, it threw out more system notifications to cover its coquettish emoticons.
