Chương 27: Chapter 27: The frustration

"Goddamn it!!!"

Yohan's uncle let out a feral growl, his rage palpable in the air. In one swift motion, he overturned all of the meticulously arranged items on his desk with an explosive force. The cacophonous clatter echoed throughout the house, bringing Yoh and his mother running into the study.

"Dad, what happened?" Yoh asked tentatively as he entered, with his mother following close behind. But they both fell silent after seeing the mess in front of them.

"They just informed me that they still haven't found that son of a bitch!" Yohan's uncle gritted out through clenched teeth, visibly seething with rage. The veins on his forehead bulged with anger and frustration. "They think he's fled to another country!"

"That's impossible! Yohan has no passport or identity documents! He can't possibly go anywhere!" Yoh immediately countered his father's words, refusing to believe that Yohan could have escaped so easily.

"We don't know about that..."

Yohan's aunt interjected with a hiss of anger. She was still bitter about Yohan stealing her expensive jewelry. "Remember he stole a lot of valuables from this house. He could have used his brain to sell them and then make fake documents."

Her words seemed to strike a chord with Yohan's uncle, who continued on in frustration, "But strangely enough, I've had people tracking down our stolen items, the ones that were probably sold, but no one has found them."

With that final statement, he flung himself down onto his work chair in defeat and exhaustion. The search for Yohan seemed hopeless now, leaving him feeling defeated and angry.

Everyone was left feeling frustrated and helpless at the situation, wondering how Yohan had managed to escape undetected despite their efforts. But as they all pondered this thought in silence, there was also a sense of fear creeping up inside them, what if he never returned?

Yoh's legs shook with fear as he pleaded with his father to not give up on the search for Yohan. "Dad, we can't give up on finding Yohan! I can't leave the house freely as long as he's still out there! What if they're watching us right now? Especially when Yohan ran away, if their people saw him that day..." His voice trailed off weakly.

His father's expression soured at this reminder but quickly brushed off Yoh's concerns. "If those people had seen that damn kid, they would've contacted us by now!" he retorted dismissively.

"Stop worrying so much."

Yoh still looked pale and anxious, but seemed slightly calmer after hearing his father's reassurance, however shallow it may be. Meanwhile, Yohan's aunt comforted her only child by stroking his back gently.

"Your dad is right, honey. We won't give up on finding Yohan." She said softly before adding her own thoughts. "And besides, I have a feeling that Yohan must be in disguise to evade our search efforts. That cunning son of a bitch is more clever than we give him credit for, or how else could he have opened our safe?"

"But does that mean I can leave the house?" Yoh asked his parents anxiously.

"Stay home for another week. We need to keep our guard up." his father dismissed them with a wave of his hand, signaling them to get out of his study, looking tired and annoyed.

Yohan's uncle watched as they stepped out of his study, before closing his eyes in apparent frustration. He knew that he still hadn't revealed to his family that the box they had been keeping, was also stolen by Yohan. It was clear that this bastard boy who he had tormented was causing him more trouble than expected.

Meanwhile, as they left the room, both Yoh and his mother wore expressions of anger mixed with fear. However, as Yoh recalled that he was still confined to the house for another week, a wave of frustration crashed over him.

This anger only intensified when he became acutely aware of every part of his body aching with soreness, especially his ribs. While no bones were broken, his entire being was covered in deep bruises and cuts. Being someone who had always been pampered since childhood, it was unbearable for him to endure even minor injuries - let alone ones that left such an intense physical toll on his body.

He growled through gritted teeth, eyes blazing with pure hatred towards his cousin.

"Yohan... When we find you..." he muttered darkly under his breath.

"When we find you... You will regret ever being born into this world..."

As if mirroring the anger and turmoil within him, rain pounded relentlessly against the windowpanes like a silent witness to Yoh's seething emotions.
