Chương 44: First Fight

Theodore's group was ordered to check the western part of the hospital. As you know, this hospital is the largest in the city A. So, it can be said that it would be difficult for them to find the figure of Doctor Christopher due to the fact that the hospital is very large.

Their team was divided into four groups, and each group spread out around the hospital. Theodore's team was assigned to the western part of the hospital.

"Why do I have to be at the front? Shouldn't one of you lead the group since you know better?" Theodore, of course, immediately refused to lead the way at the front.

"You should just obey. You're the only one here with a sword anyway. It'll be easier for you if you're in the front."

"We don't mind if you lead the way either."

Then, the idea of Theodore leading the way began to sound agreeable, so Theodore, who had no support, couldn't help but agree even though his face looked very annoyed.

"Then I hope you won't complain," Theodore said, secretly grinning.

Theodore decided to use this opportunity for his benefit, so he entered the hospital area.

Slowly, the soldiers in Theodore's group followed him from behind, looking at each other suspiciously.

With his sword at his side, Theodore used one hand to forcefully open the closed door.

He did that because he suspected zombies behind the closed door. It would be surprising if there were no zombies.

Sure enough, Theodore could immediately hear the groans that the zombies would release when he pushed the door firmly.

Without thinking, Theodore raised his sword to start slaughtering the zombies; fortunately,. Fortunately, the zombies' reaction was slow due to the door he had pushed earlier.

Upon seeing Theodore start swinging his sword from one zombie to another, the soldiers at the back were shocked, not expecting that there would be zombies behind the door.

"What are you guys doing?! Help me damn it!" Theodore shouted loudly and glared at them when he realized that they weren't doing anything to help him.

As if waking up from their shock, the soldiers raised their guns and started shooting at the zombies, who started shuffling towards Theodore.

With the sound of gunfire behind him, Theodore swung his sword accurately. With just one slash of his sword, the head of the zombie he targeted immediately rolled on the floor.

Blood splattered incessantly as Theodore swung his sword, and he took advantage of this situation to use his Slash skill.

Because the soldiers' gunfire sounded very loud, the zombies, who were sensitive to the sound, immediately ran towards where Theodore and the others were gathered.

"Look what you've done. They've gathered here." Theodore sighed as he realized that there would be more zombies coming in the direction they were.

"Damn! How's this?"

"New kid, do something so those zombies don't keep coming!"

"We won't have enough ammo if they keep coming like this."

Theodore rolled his eyes lazily; if they had explored this area without him, zombies would have eaten them long ago.

Theodore chose not to listen to their babble. He only focused on killing the zombies around him.

Theodore's sword swung quickly, and blood could be seen splashing from the attack, blasting the zombie's head pierced by the sword.

It took the group about 30 minutes to clear the zombies at the western entrance.

Theodore's shirt was now dirty with blood splatters from the zombies he needed. The blood was no longer red; it looked blackish, indicating they were no longer human.

Meanwhile, the soldiers in the same group as Theodore could not believe their eyes. They didn't expect that Theodore was so great that he could hold off that many zombies by himself.

All the soldiers had done was shoot from behind. Holding the zombies back was Theodore alone, with a sword in his hand.

They realized that if it wasn't for Theodore, they probably wouldn't have been able to survive up to this point; even the worst possibility was that their group could be instantly wiped out after being attacked by this wave of zombies.

"Are you guys okay if we continue our journey?" Theodore looked back to see the state of his group.

"Are you sure you want to continue now?"

The men were dumbfounded by Theodore's seemingly casual reaction, even though they were already traumatized by today's events.

"Of course, we still have a mission to complete." Theodore looked at them seriously.

Theodore was excited about slaughtering the zombies because he had just received a notification from the system telling him that he had just leveled up.

Not only that, Theodore also got a new skill that would undoubtedly help him in his battle.
