| Sad truth
Alexis's POV:
'So what's exactly this ball about?', I asked Terry as we walked through the mall.
'Its basically a get together so that all the mafia will know their upcoming heirs'. He took a red ball dress and handed it to me.
'I see. Nah this is too basic', I put back the dress and kept searching through the various racks of dresses. ' Can I ask you something ?', I said after a while of silence.
'Sure', he shrugged.
'Do you remember Lisa?', I asked him and he froze stopping in his tracks.
'Umm...well..I look that blue dress looks pretty', he said changing the subject but I wasn't buying it.
'Stop stalling and tell me Terry. Please', I pouted giving him my best puppy eyes.
'She's dangerous Alex. Her family too. Just leave them okay', he said with a warning tone. I nodded and decided to drop the subject.
'Okay', was all I said. I picked up a black flowing gown with a long split. 'I will test this one out. Be right back'.
'Sure', he smiled but it didn't reach his eyes like he was hiding something....sad. I didn't want to push it but I was also inquisitive.
Maybe it was something really bad?

'Alex!', someone called out in a rather serious voice. I opened my eyes to see it was Rafeal and I smiled but he didn't. He had a cold expression on his face. 'We need to talk', he said and I sat up looking at him with a puzzled look.
'Look we cant be together anymore. I dont like you anymore, I've lost all my feelings for you', he blutered out quickly and for a split second I saw hurt and pain in his eyes before he covered it with a cold look.
'What are you talking about. You literally told me you loved me some minutes ago'. I was confused. Where was all this coming from?
'Its all gone Alex. I dont love you. You disgust me', I flinched at his words and I felt an ache in my heart. i couldn't form any words, I couldnt even cry I was just hurt.
'Why? So everything you said was fake, the sex? Everything?'. He only nodded and looked away. I swallowed a lump and stood up from the bed taking my things. I looked at him one last time. He didn't look at me but kept staring at the window. I opened the door and lisa stood there with a lopsided grin.
'I was wondering when he was gonna tell you. I did tell you though but you won't listen. Rafeal is mine' She laughed and pushed me aside entering the room.
'I told you she's such a bitch', I heard Lisa say and laugh. I walked away and ran but I heard someone call my name. I turned to see it was Nick.
'Dont believe anything he said. Something just happened and hes confused. I know Rafeal and I know how much he loves you just please dont forget about everything. I suspect Lisa might have manipulated him'. He patted my head and walked away. I stood there more confused by everything.
I need alcohol!
