"Ah, shit." Moose buried his face in his palms, feeling a little overwhelmed by this additional information. "Of all the people that could be dragged into this fiasco, why did it have to be her?"
"One good thing about this is that we've now figured out that Dane had fooled all of us." Although Bear shared Moose's feelings, he remained composed. "If he could deal with all those people alone, then that means he had been acting cowardly and foolish by choice."
"Are you okay?" Unlike their concerns, Heaven turned to Dominic. "That Dane turned out to be the guy I thought he was."
"I can't articulate my feelings about it, but it's surely unpleasant," Dominic sighed. "I should've seen through him from the beginning."
