Axel listened intently to Dominic's voice over the phone, humming in acknowledgment as his brother spoke. "Will she be fine?"

"Don't worry about her."

"How can I not?" His lips curved downward, a sigh escaping him. "She went to the prison where that guy is held."

Dominic smiled subtly. "You know your sister. She went to see Primo, not Silas. The officers were on high alert, but even if they tried something, she'd manage. You know her capabilities."

"I do." Axel sighed again. "Anyway, I won't keep you."

"Heading home now?"

"Well, I'm not sure. I still have some papers to work on." Axel glanced at the thin stack on his desk. "With my sister possibly going home alone, I shouldn't bring this work tonight."

"Understood. Don't forget to eat. I'm hanging up."
