"Well, I only met that kid once, so I can't remember her face that much. She said she didn't have friends as well, so she suddenly adopted me to be one of her people just because we were around the same age. I never met her again, but I've always wished to meet her so I can thank her for saving me."
Dominic's brows rose when he felt a mild pinch on his side. Turning his head, the smile on his face faded as soon as his gaze landed on his wife's pair of burning eyes.
"You should shut up, Dominic Zhu," Heaven warned in a low tone. "I'm getting jealous. Do you want to meet her? Hah. Dominic Zhu, do you want to get in trouble?"
"Is this pinch… supposed to be like a weapon?"
"I'll pinch you harder if you say something stupid."
Dominic pressed his lips into a thin line, assessing her countenance. For some reason, the corner of his lips curled up in satisfaction.
