Alex didn't what think of David the idiot practically caught the attention of the Mogs with this stunt as Lexa said"After the stunt he pulled at the Vault,he seems to booked a ticket to Rome with a girl named Mille Harris.Thanks to bug you placed on Rolands mobile,we are able to get all his calls and messages.The guy is to reckless because of the obvious trail he left behind him,the paladins are right behind him."
Alex nodded as they soon found the idiot carefree happily enjoying his holiday in Rome as Six said"The idiot now dragged the girl into this fight,the paladins will not leave her alone after knowing how close she is to him."
Alex nodded he felt bad for the girl as he could see.He saw the fact David really loved her,but she was a civilian without any kind of training or fighting experience.
While Alex noticed another person tailing David as he was wearing a distressed leather jacket and black round neck shirt.He Recognized the person from the files Paladins had his name was Griffin O'Conner is so skilled at evading the Paladins that he has lived to his twenties, whereas many Jumpers don't live to be ten.He is the only Jumper who hunts down other Paladins.
Alex whispered to Six"I will be back,just watch over them."Six nodded as Alex appeared behind Griffin who was watching David from an alleyway as Alex asked"You having been watching that couple for quite a while are stalking them or what."
Griffin was surprise to seeing Alex was able to get behind him without him even knowing as he frowned and said "No you misunderstood me mate,I was just looking at the fountain."
Alex pauses, pulls an ornate lighter and lights the cigarette as he takes a puff and chuckles seeing Griffin taking a fighting stance as he jumped disappeared and appeared just a few feet infront of Griffin with a snap.
Griffin was shocked seeing another Jumper as Alex asked"So you also noticed our resident problem kid right."
Griffin was still defensive but he saw this person was one of them as he nodded,Alex continued speaking while looking at both David and Millie from a distance"He is too careless and now he has got the attention of all the Paladins,While I must say you were also not hard to spot as I saw you on top of building and in blink of an eye you were in the alleyway."
Griffin knew that was idiotic of him,but not as stupid as David did,also he knew there were few Paladins in the area as he asked"So you are Jumper too?"
Alex nodded let puff of smoke replied"You could say that,you know I bugged a Paladin named Rolands phone got a lot of information about how they work,where their bases ate and stuff."
Griffin shocked but soon snapped out it and said with smirk"Maybe we can do partnership."
Griffin held his hand out as Alex grinned both shaked their hands agreeing to an Alliance.As Six appeared next to me as Griffin was shocked. and asked"Is she a jumper too?"
Alex shrugged and replied"Kind of."Griffin let's go,but he was not fool as he saw her appearing out nowhere to be similar to a jumper,but at the same time different.Also he knew Jumpers can't be the only once with powers after all.
We got to know each other one thing was sure Griffin hated Paladins with Passion,just like Six and Freya hated everything Mogadorian.
While Alex and Griffin rented an apartment opposite to the hotel David and Millie were staying at,Griffin with frown said"That idiot is jumping around without a care in the world,I kinda feel bad for his little girlfriend for having idiot like him as a boyfriend."
Alex chuckled as Six was out to get some food as Griffin looked as if he was in deep thought before saying"I lived with my parents in the United Kingdom, until I made my first jump at the age of five. My parents seem to know about Jumpers and stuff,it didn't take long as one time Paladins attacked our home,we were able to get away.My parents moved from place to place,but being rebel I broke the rules everytime causing Paladins to notice us.While we were living in San Diego, California, at the age of nine,I jumped away from a bully after karate class, and Paladins took notice of it they came and killed my parente.To reduce the depth of the police investigation, they planted cocaine at the crime scene, to create the impression of my parent being involved in drug-related crimes.I lived for several years in the streets until a guy saved his name was Sam and his partner Consuelo; shortly after revealing my ability to them, they were killed by the Paladins."
Alex could see the tears in his eyes as Griffin continued"I saw the light in their eyes die when the blades pierced their heart.These Paladins didn't care if these people were human to them they were just traitors who helped a Jumper."Alex knew he would be the same if Six was killed.
