Chương 36: Dungeon (2)
"Well done with dealing with those kobolds." Scarlet said as she exited the bushes.
I just gave her a nod. I turned to look at the slimes.
'Should I kill them? It's bad EXP but I might as well do it.' I thought to myself as I walked forward to the slimes with no caution. Adonis was in my right hand by my side as I walked.
The slimes noticed me and all seven started to hop towards me. With one big horizontal slash I struck all the slimes with a wind blade which split their bodies in half and ultimately destroying their core within.

"Slimes are so bad for EXP." I muttered under my breath as I jumped over the river in one swift movement with Scarlet following behind me.
I entered the forest on the other side and wandered around a bit, slashing down vines and plants that were in my way. Along my way I felt something enter my [Spacial awareness]. Goblins. But not just one there was a good 20 of them to the east of me.
I looked east and started making my way over towards them. I jumped into a tree and sat on the branch. I switched Adonis into a bow and waited until the goblins were in sight and there was a clean pathway for my arrow to fire.
'System what are their levels between?'

'Hmm I could kill them all with the sword but I'll pick some off with my arrows first. I wonder since they are close together if the fire will spread from each of them but that isn't something I should test.' I thought as I drew back an arrow enhanced with my wind magic and released with great speed as it travelled towards the group of goblins that were blissfully unaware of their impending doom.
I decided against using fire as I'm no longer by the river but surrounded by vegetation which could easily be set alight and start a raging fri that spreads all around. Yes, it could kill many monsters which inhabit this forest I'm currently in but it will also destroy all my cover for sneaking up on enemies and leave me open as a target for all the monsters. In addition to that, I have no idea what the boss monster is and using the cover of the forest to my advantage I could leap from tree to tree scouting and finding the boss. If a fire did spread the trees would also be alight and I would no longer be able to use them.
After firing off my arrow it struck the head of a goblin which fell lifelessly to the ground, startling the other goblins around it which looked side to side to find the culprit of their brethren's death.
Completely unaware of me above I then used their stupidity to my advantage and shot off several more arrows which struck down another 4 goblins leaving me with another 15 to deal with.
At this moment in time they were still unaware of me above but I could tell if I shot another they would be able to locate me so I decided to transform Adonis back into a sword and leap off the tree and strike them down.
I kept off the branch I was on with almost no effort and dived down, slamming my sword onto the head of a goblin which I then slashed through its body leaving it in 2 pieces.
I was now in the middle of the other 14 goblins but this was my advantage as I could send of a wind blade and kill lots of them so I did exactly that.
The strong winds slashed through the goblins where blood spewed out of their wounds while others had their upper half separated from the lower.
'8 left.'
I jumped away from the goblins behind me which tried swinging at me and spun around to face them. At that point I realised only one had a weapon. It was a rusted steel sword which was positioned in front of it.
Noticing this I jumped at the goblin with a sword and used mine to swing down vertically, with enough strength I broke the steel sword and left a gaping wound in the goblin who then stumbled back that was left unable to get up.
The other goblins that were clearly angered then all charged at me. One of them pounced at me and with no thought I held up my sword and skewered the goblin that was unable to dodge due to its poor judgement. I wiped my sword round to my side which threw the goblin off the end and splattered blood along the ground.
Then using another wind blade I took out the rest of the goblins that could do nothing to defend against me.

The dead bodies of the goblins that were left on the floor had green blood leaking from each and every wound I had caused them to suffer. I decided not to leave them there and burn their corpses so I bent down and had a flame in my palm which I controlled to burn the corpses and nothing else.
I left the area of the massacred and continued east. Suddenly I felt a rumbling bellow me. Everything started to shake intensely. The mana in the air quickly changed from a calm flow to fast ripples and chaotic movement.
"Is it.." I started.
"It is. We cannot exit now, the entrance and exit gets sealed off once the process is starting and we are too far. We just need to wait and see." Scarlet replied as she unsheathed her sword to prepare for the worst.
These were all signs of the dungeon changing and it becoming unstable. The surroundings started warping and going distorted, the ground was shaking and the mana was unstable with chaotic movements.
All we could do was wait and hope that the dungeon wasn't beyond what we could deal with once the process had finished.
After roughly 4 minutes of waiting the dungeon had finished its change. The surroundings were no longer the lush forest that spread for miles around but a cave.
There was rock spikes all across the ceiling of the cave and rough textured walls. There was no colour but greys and blues.
"Let's just continue on with the dungeon. I don't know what new monsters are inside here anymore so expect the worst and prepare thoroughly before attacking." Scarlet said with her guard up.
I walked in front of her and explored the cave. I could tell all the pathways around me thanks to my [Spacial awareness] which seemed to be best in this unfortunate scenario but I could turn this around. I could make the most of this and improve myself through this experience.
We continued through the cave until I came across a monster. It was a long lizard with blue and purple scales over its grey skin and had yellow eyes with slits as pupils. Spikes trailed down its back and it had long claws coming out from its four feet.
'System, what's the level and rank.'

"I might be able to kill it and you said you will only step in if it's out of my control, yes?" I asked clearly wanting to test myself on this lizard.
"Yes, are you wishing to fight this?"
"Why else would I ask?" I said as I transformed Adonis.
