Chương 107: Back to spear training. I’ve got to repair the robots.
After we ate a rather simple meal of french toast, I continued with my spear training. Kore said she had some business to attend to so she couldn't join me which I didn't mind. I assumed she returned to heaven for whatever she was needed for.
I was back in T-W1 and I continued using the wooden spears left conveniently on the racks at the sides of the room instead of Adonis. I had to use a different robot to train with as I needed to fix the one I broke so I would need to tell a harpy about it since I had no clue on where to begin with fixing a robot of any kind.
I gave the spear a small twirl, getting a feel for it before going over to the robot and inputting it's strength levels to its system. Once I had finished with that the robot took a couple seconds before beginning with the training.
It charged directly at me, thrusting its spear at my left shoulder. I rotated my body slightly away from it and grabbed the shaft of the spear, swinging the spear around with the robot still holding onto the other end. I kicked the robot at its abdomen as I let go of its spear.
As it was twirling away from me, I got ready with my spear and stabbed down at the backs of its kneecaps. The robot swiftly dodged my attack and spun round, kicking at the side of my torso. I hastily moved my arms down to cover what would be our point of impact as a sort of shield yet it still sent me skidding a little backwards.
My arm would in any normal situation feel sore and ache but I couldn't feel it, after all, I was not under any circumstances classified as 'normal'. I thrust my spear towards the robots chest but it jumped to the left side to avoid it. My leg came swinging up to its left side and collided with it sending the robot flying to the other side of the room.
'Should I change the settings? In situations that at difficult, I'll probably learn faster so it's worth a shot.'
I used [Flash steps] to get behind the robot in an instant and changed its settings to make its strength higher. I made its strength equivalent to that of an A - rank adventurer the strength in input was 1300 meaning it was early A - rank, mine was lower then that at 1031.
I jumped back and focused on the robot for any sign of movement. I needed to stay cautious now since it's stronger then I am. The robot slowly got up from the ground and looked over at me before charging at me with speed it never had before. Well that was because it had a lower level of strength input into its system but it was definitely much faster, though, I could just barely keep up with it.
It's foot rammed into the side of my torso making me go crashing into the wall. The robot wasted no time and charged at me with its spear in hand, thrusting it at me with rapid movement. I ducked and weaved through all its attacks and kicked at its chest to get some distance from it as it skidded backwards.
Regaining my balance, I stood straight and charged at the robot. My spear aimed at its chest. The robot rotated its body to skill fully avoid my attack before spinning around completing a 360 with it's foot coming for my abdomen.
I caught its foot and twisted it causing the metal to rip off and the messy wires from underneath to show. Through all of that I didn't let go. I pulled it towards me by its leg and grabbed hold of the shaft of its spear, yanking it out of the robots grasp and throwing it off to the side of the room.
The robot sent its fist flying at my face but I tilted my head away from it while using minimal movement in the process.
I pulled the robots leg upwards making it lose balance before grabbing hold of its face and smashing it on the ground below. Sparks flew from the back of the robots head as it scraped against the ground of the training room.
The robot, however, was not out of action yet. It grabbed hold of my arm and pulled me above it, using it's only leg to kick my body and make it go over it before springing back up off the ground while I went towards it.
I planted my hands on the ground and did a front handspring, landing with perfected ease but by the time I landed the robot had already reclaimed its spear and was charging at me once more but slower as it's foot was just a mess of mangled wires being the result of a previous attack I sent it's way. I shook my head and jumped to the side, narrowly avoiding the tip of the spear and slid underneath the shaft.
I spun my body around, kicking the base of the robots legs causing it to, rather ungracefully, fall to the ground. I placed a foot on the back of the robot while took the spear out of the its grasp as mine was on the other side of the room from when I was using both hands for martial arts and I stabbed the robots hands into the ground or at least I attempted to but forgot that it was wooden and didn't have the capabilities to do such a thing to the robot who was writhing below me in an attempt to move away.
I used a bit more force than necessary while my foot was on the robot to keep it from moving and, as a result, started to dent the robots back so I took my foot off of it and switched it off. I was going to take a break from using the robot since most of the time it ended up with me training more on martial arts than the spear which I was aiming to improve upon.
I returned all the equipment before turning to leave the room with one last glance to make sure everything was in the correct place other than the destroyed robot.
'Right, I've got to tell a harpy to help me fix it.'
I turned away and left the training room while making my way to the front door of the house. 'I do remember Ruri saying she lives next to me so it would probably be best to ask her about this.' I thought as I left the house.
'I also need to look around this.. dimension? I feel that's the best way to describe the insides of the dungeon since it's not anywhere in Yerseild but perhaps a completely different world with the same principles as Yerseild? That doesn't matter right now, I need to look at the strongest beings here and level up. Perhaps I should try and gain my next evolution as soon as possible? I also need to work on spacial magic along with other magic. Maybe dark magic?'
I had lots of things to do while staying in the dungeon and in all honesty, I was looking forward to it. After all, I needed to get stronger to protect the people I love and care for.
"Ah, your majesty." I looked up a little and saw Ruri who had he'd head bowed down and her hand on her chest.
"There is no need to bow Ruri. As a matter of fact, your timing is perfect. I need your help to fix the training robots, I may or may not have broken two of them." I told Ruri.
"You've broken them? They've been made of the strongest materials we could find- wait that doesn't matter right now. Umm, how exactly are they broken may I ask?"
"I've broken the arm of one and part of the leg of the other robot I used, along with that they've both got dents all over. They're going to need new wires since I've ripped them as well. Sorry about that."
Ruri stared at me in shock but my sudden apology snapped her out of it as she quickly dismissed it, "No no, it's all fine your majesty, I'm just surprised that you've managed to even dent them. Our strongest warrior hasn't even managed that." A small amount of sweat built up on the side of her forehead.
"Do you need me to take the robot somewhere to be fixed or is it possible to do it in my home? Would you like me to bring the ripped off arm as well? Oh and part of a leg."
"Ah, your majesty! There is no need for you to bring the robots! I can do that." Ruri seemed troubled by what I had just said.
"I don't get it? I know you all see me as your leader but I can still do this work, can I not?"
"Y-You can but you are of a higher authority and therefore someone else should do this type of work for you."
"I don't mind doing it." I said as I went inside and grabbed the two robots I had used for training along with the.. other.. parts of the robot I had broken off.
"Your majesty, you shouldn't worry about doing this kind of stuff." Ruri sighed.
"It's no matter, why? Did you want to carry some?" I asked as I held out the ripped of arm that flopped out making it straight with the palm of the hand and underarm showing itself to Ruri.
"Ah, yes your majesty." She smiled at me as she happily took the arm along with half of a leg which she happily hugged against herself as a way of carrying them both while I just nodded expressionlessly. "Please follow me your majesty."
