"Jealousy doesn't suit you."
Caius is trembling with madness and wants to kill Zheng in a matter of minute, he wants to rip off his tongue Caius' eyes hold contempt while staring at Zheng momentarily. Adelaide noticed the way Caius look at Zheng and so she holds Caius's hands to ease his anger.
"Adelaide is more important to me than my own life. You don't know anything so don't spout nonsense and make Adelaide misunderstand something it isn't true, Zheng."
Caius pulled Adelaide towards his bosom, his eyes never leaving Zheng's eyes the two of them are rivals since the start of their junior high school life. Zheng always tried to snatch something that Caius owned, always making trouble for him and making Caius's life more complicated in every way that Zheng could think of. And now Caius knows even with Adelaide Zheng is his rival to get her attention and heart, the only thing assured him is that after this school year he and Adelaide will not see each other again.
He walked away with Adelaide they were already more than late to their last class. He's walking fast that Caius completely forgot about the 'fake' injury of Adelaide which causes her to speed up her limping a little bit to match up Caius' speed. Some students who were late to their classes turned towards the two especially Caius who doesn't even realize he's own wrongdoings. Luke, a friend of Caius, walked towards him and scolded him.
"Caius, what the hell are you doing dragging an injured Adelaide around the hallway? Have you lost your mind?! Be gentle Caius."
These words halted Caius immediately and turned around to face Adelaide with an apologetic expression, this time Caius didn't hold back at criticizing himself mentally. He blames himself by not controlling his own emotion and let it run wild. Adelaide knows what Caius is thinking right at that moment it was shown to his face what he really felt. Adelaide reaches out to his right cheek and caresses it slowly while there's a gentle smile planted on her luscious lips which captivated Caius more.
"Calm down, Caius." Murmured Adelaide to him while indicating a different meaning in her eyes.
"Then let's go, we're already late." Continued Adelaide
Silence speaks louder than words thought Luke to himself because Caius only nodded and there is no evidence of rage in those eyes he saw earlier. After a few minutes, they already arrived at the front door of Adelaide's last class for today. Luke hurriedly walked through his own class too but cautiously to not be caught by his strict teacher, while Caius run like the speed of light.
These three students got scolded and embarrassed by their own teacher for being late and they have an after school talked with their teacher too except for Adelaide.
In her circumstance, her teacher understands why she is late so the teacher, Sir Arnold, didn't nag on Adelaide too much. However, it's a completely different story for Luke and Caius. At the end of the day in Cerulean High School, the badminton team is preparing for their training and while others are changing their casual clothes into activewear. Caius left Adelaide on a bench with a long table where the rest of the team put their own phones, shuttlecocks, rackets, and many more. Their coach, Mr. Scotch, and Mr. Carl set up the drills and warm-ups for the rest of the team to do. A lot of groans and heavily sigh would be heard when they saw their drills.
Adelaide couldn't help but chuckle when she heard it and her teammates, of course, heard her chuckles and giggles they look at her with jokingly anger and madness in their eyes.
"Oh, c'mon don't be like that Adelaide, you're lucky that you are injured right now cause if not I'm gonna make you feel like hell." Threatened Fin, which is not actually true, he just wants to tease her.
